Default Waiver wire [Texans Cuts Posted Within Thread]

There are plenty of familar guys getting cut that could improve our team.

Brian Leonard, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
WOW I would love for us to pick this guy up. I really liked him coming out of Rutgers. EDIT THEY ARE NOW STATING THAT HE MADE THE FINAL ROSTER.

Emanuel Cook, SS, New York Jets has been released.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE sign this guy.

Dan Klecko, DL, Philadelphia Eagles
Undersized but great effort guy

Tommie Hill, DL, New York Giants
Out of Colorodo State so watch out

Chuck Darby, DL, Free Agent
Started a few games for Detroit last year.

Lydon Murtha, OT, Free Agent
Very athletic OL that a few of us liked in last years draft. Good ZB candidate.

Courtney Bryan, FS, Free Agent
Hes a safety and we need one. Dont know much of anything about him.

Brandon Frye, OT, Free Agent
Never understood why we let him go.

Rodrique Wright, DL, Free Agent

Darius Walker, RB, Denver Broncos
Another X Texan released.

Graham Gano, PK, Baltimore Ravens
This guy was great in college.

Davis, Buster LB 25 2 Florida St. - I thought he'd have a shot

Foster, Arian RB 23 R Tennessee - Practice Squad?

Harris, Clark TE 25 1 Rutgers - James Casey made him expendable

Harrison, Brandon FS 25 3 Stanford - Finally get him outta here.

Leonard, Josh DT 22 R Hawaii - I was hopeful he'd stick

Stenavich, Adam T 26 1 Michigan - Practice Squad?

I would love to see us sign Trevor Canfield, Emanual Cook, and Leonard Pope. I know we dont need another TE but man Pope has some talent and lets not forget OD could be gone next year.

Add 2 more to my wish list.

Cedric Peerman, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Vance Walker, DL, Atlanta Falcons

I was hoping we would draft both of these guys.

Interesting in who made it:

LB's Bentley and Chaun Thompson both get to stick around.

Zgonina still here.

RB Andre Hall sticks and IMO is somewhat of a surprise. (perhaps the coaches were impressed with his jackknife into the endzone yesterday).

Grossman, Busing and Martinez make it. Jenkins, though cut, has skills.... hope he makes the practice squad....

I'm just hopeful that we take a look at some of the players who were cut from their teams that may be better than what we kept. Would love to get another RB like Issac Redman, but the Steelers will probably try to slide him to their Practice Squad.

Anyone notice that Sean Mahan was cut?

Harrison, Brandon FS 25 3 Stanford - Finally get him outta here.

Leonard, Josh DT 22 R Hawaii - I was hopeful he'd stick I would think PS is his place
Stenavich, Adam T 26 1 Michigan - Practice Squad? I would guess we sign two OT to the PS, Cliff Washburn is my best guess for 1 OT.
PS guess?
Foster
Leonard
Washburn
Stenavich
Richardson
Tim Jamison
if eligible Buster Davis

Looking at the Bears, they cut OG Dan Buenning and OLB Marcus Freeman. I'd like the see them in Texans uniforms.

Bently making it is no shock. He is the special teams captain. Thompson is surprising since he never seems to be healthy. I thought Buster might win that spot.

Pope is a pile of goo. He has done nothing at this level. We still control OD next year and if is uncapped we control him for 2 years. We are ok at ()e now and in the future to waste a spot on Pope.

Marcus Freeman is another WOW for me. Cant believe he is available. He would definatly be a target if I were GM.

Well, I'm not shocked either just thought it was interesting... I think all backups/2nd team/special teamers have to be a little nervous around cut time. I'm OK with Bentley - just think he could be upgraded....

FWIW, McClain speculates that Thompson will be the cut for Dunta...

Default 6 Rookies make the team

Cushing, Barwin, Caldwell, Quin, Hill, Casey, & McCain. Kudos to Rick Smith and the scouting staff.
