Default WR D.J. Hackett Visited [Baltimore Sun]

Buried in an article about the Ravens receiver situation...

We are pretty deep at WR to be looking at FA's that dont really upgrade our depth. I wonder if we are considering trading one of our WR's? I wonder what bigger backup RB's around the leauge could be had for the price of one of our backup WR's.

We know Denver tried to sign David Anderson as a FA. They have a bigger back that has similar value and knows the system already. Peyton Hilllis for David Anderson seems like a deal that could work with a little tweeking one way or the other.

The Raiders have a young big back that is way back on the depth chart but has looked good in short stints. Micheal Bush is very similar to Peyton Hillis in many ways. His value is probably a little more unclear becasue Al Davis is the one determining it. I say throw Andre Davis's name at Al and be sure to mention that he ran a 4.29 forty once.

I really see no other reason to talk to this type WR. What value does he add at all unless we are considering loosing one of our backups.

Not sure D.J. could hack it with the receivers we already have and pay well.

Yes, I said it. So sue me.

But competition never hurts, usually it helps, and injuries can happen anytime.
