I think they are going to give him his shot at CB. However, once it becomes clear that he can't play there, they will move him to FS. If he can play CB, great, but a fall back to FS isn't all bad.

They are going to play him as the nickle. If it becomes clear that he can't play there, they may try him at FS. However, I'm a believer that he'll be a perfect fit right where they are going to put him (over the slot).

They keep calling him a nickle corner.
What does that mean for Bennett and Molden? Does that mean they're our fourth and fifth corners? Are they really giving a rookie the third spot right out of the draft? Or by "nickel corner" do they simply mean "not a starter." |

I don't know what BESF is, but I just did a search and see he's a Titan?
That makes me so happy on a couple of different levels. ![]()

Assuming Dunta does come back, you'd think he'd be playing the slot since that seems to be his strength. Maybe by "nickel corner" they are saying they envision Quin playing to similiar strengths as Dunta. |

Really? How unsafe is it? We drafted 2 CBs last week. We signed FA Jaques Reeves last year and drafted Antwaun Molden. Before that we drafted Fred Bennett. Dunta has made it clear that he and Rick Smith are not on the same page in terms of a contract. I think it's a pretty safe assumption.

I see your point, but I don't think Brice McCain's stopping the Texans from bringing back Dunta for one more season. |

I just don't understand what they mean by "nickel corner" given the fact that he has (or should have) *at least* 3 guys in front of him. |

Yeah, your right, IF would have been a better choice of word(s). I do expect him to play well as the nickel, certainly as well/better than Peety. However, I suspect he will wind up at FS as he likely will be better there and a starter at FS is more valuable than a nickel corner. Just my hunch.

If that's the case, then we got the "poor man's version" of my two favorites in the first round. We got Glover who's a FS/CB tweener similiar to Malcom Jenkins and we got Anthony Hill who's an excellent blocking TE with pass catching ability in the flats, similiar to Brandon Pettigrew. Very impressive if this is the case. |

Now knowing more about Mr. Glover Quinn, a pretty good analogy would be a Malcolm Jenkins type of CB, but in the 4th round instead of the first. Makes sense.
