Perhaps. The Raiders haven't acquired a QB in a few months so they are due.

Knapp should get kudos (along with Kubiak and the OC) for developing Yates so quickly. IMO, we don't need Leinart now that Yates has playoff experience. Let Leinart follow Knapp to Oakland. I'm content to have Yates as the #2 and maybe take a flier on another low-round QB as the #3. |

Speaking of QBs, did anyone else see Jerome Solomon's article saying we should go for manning? Intriguing.
I also saw a poll from the Senior Bowl where they asked all the players who they would prefer to play for and the Texans were the number one answer. It is officially the offseason and with the anticipation and the way the season ended it will probably be the longest offseason yet for me. |

My guess for Knapp's replacement, based strictly on his profile: Redskins Offensive Assistant Mike McDaniel
He worked under the Shanahans last year and was an offensive assistant for the Texans in 2006-2008, assisting with the QBs in his last season here. He didn't go to Colorado State but he is a Colorado native. |

From the Chronic:
Texans talking to Dorrell about QB coach vacancy Karl Dorrell was head coach at UCLA from 2003-07. (Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)Coach Gary Kubiak is talking to Karl Dorrell, the Miami Dolphins’ quarterbacks coach last season, about replacing Greg Knapp, who’s the new offensive coordinator at Oakland. Dorrell coached wide receivers from 2000-2002 at Denver, where Kubiak was the offensive coordinator. Dorrell was UCLA’s head coach from 2003-2007 before moving to Miami. He coached receivers and quarterbacks during his three seasons under Tony Sparano.
