In terms of talent, it's a steal. In terms of attitude, it's a huge risk. Marshall wants to be paid like a #1 receiver (Denver was still paying him off his rookie contract as -IIRC- a fourth-round draft pick). He's not going to be #1 in Houston so he'd have to mentally adjust to fewer balls his way.

I know the Denver message boards want a first and a third but I think they got spoiled with the Cutler deal and overestimate what it would cost to get him.

My money, though, would be on him going to Washington now that Shanahan has signed there. Chicago would be a possibility but they've already sent away their #1 in the Cutler trade so, likely no.

If it only cost a #2 and contract parameters were hammered out with Marshall before you pass "go", I'd say it's a tremendous deal but that's a lot of ifs.

Marshall is more like Ocho Cinco than he is Terrell Owens. He can ratchet down the prima donna act for the good of the team (T.O. simply can't) but he's immature and he has had some off-field run-ins that might make Bob McNair veto the idea (i.e. domestic abuse charges).
