Default Wade Phillips on Kareem Jackson

Buried in some offseason rah rah column...
Quote:
"I think technique-wise he needs a lot of work," Phillips said. "I guess he was able to play at Alabama without a lot of technique without worrying about staying low enough or moving his feet, those kinds of things. I think that caught up with him. I think we can coach him. We'll drill him enough that we'll go over and over and over."

Who is Phillips slamming more here.... (a) Jackson, (b) Rick Smith, or (c) the Alabama coaching staff?

It's at least encouraging that Phillips is recognizing where the defense has its problems. Not sure I buy into his admiration for Shaun Cody as a NT, but it's a start at least.
