Really? If anything they rushed Jacoby into playing time. They had no problem naming Lundy the starter at RB, or getting slaton into the mix early. They played Bennett last year when he was playing well enough to deserve it.

Bennet has the most potential, but he hasn't played very well this year (nor has anyone else back there). I would like to see Molden play to get an idea of what we've got, but the coaches have watched him through training camp and at practice every week so I know they already have a decent idea.

Should the young guys be playing? Probably, but Kubiak knows he needs to show something in these last five games to keep his job status secure. Same for Smith. They are going to go with the guys that give them the best chance to win. The veterans on the team are smart enough to know when a young guy is getting PT just for being young. It sends a sign to the team that they have given up for the year, and I can't blame Kubiak for not wanting to send that message.
