Very good to see that much imagination come out of the Texans O. Kinda reminded me when we took Keenum out of the deer stand. Don't have your regular guys, so don't try to do the same stuff.

Very encouraged to see the D put together 3 consecutive solid games. Hopefully, the D we all expected to see is here to stick for the balance of the year.

Early line has the Texans as 2.5 to 3 point favorites over the Saints next Sunday....

Somewhat different week of football with the three Thursday/Thanksgiving games this week....

Drew Brees coming off a bye vs Hoyer/Yates. I think I see that line shrinking as the week goes on.

Ya, Saints are very good in recent years coming off their bye:

Quote:

NEW ORLEANS -- The bye week was the best thing that could have happened to the 4-6 New Orleans Saints.

A chance to get healthy and recharge their batteries after an ugly two-game losing streak? Sure, all of those things.

But the Saints also have an uncanny knack for winning after bye weeks.

The Saints won five straight games following their bye from 2009-2013. Then last year, when they were struggling just as badly as they are this season, they came back from the bye and played one of their best games of the entire season at Detroit -- only to blow a 13-point lead in the final 3:38.

If they can come out just as strong Sunday at the Houston Texans, they’ll have a chance to get back on the right track.

“The mood in the locker room is we have six weeks, we have a lot of time to turn this thing around,” Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan said last week before players were given the entire week off.

3 pts for the Texans is the usual home field advantage thingy.... Essentially, they are saying on a neutral field, the 5-5 Texans and the 4-6 Saints are about even and I've got no debate for that..... Think it will boil down to our crappy offense vs. their crappy defense and our pretty good defense vs. their pretty good offense...

J.J. Watt continues to be J.J. Watt, including posting far and away the top grade this week among 3-4 defensive ends (only the Rams’ Aaron Donald out-graded him among interior defenders), but Jadeveon Clowney is quietly beginning to emerge as the player the Texans thought he could be when they drafted him No. 1 overall in the 2014 draft.

Clowney has been steadily impressive as a run defender all season, with the exception of the occasional hiccup when he goes AWOL and loses contain, but the Jets game marked the first real sighting of Clowney as a pass-rushing force, and that does not bode well for opposing offenses.

Looks like Clowney had a good day Sunday against the Jets, anyway that's what profootballfocus.com seems to think.

Clowney was in the picture sometimes during Sunday's game. He was in on one sack where Fitz practically ran into him. He is getting upfield with more regularity and that's good but then Mercilus has been merciless. Cushing has played very well the past two weeks also.

Clowney rushing right beside Watt on several plays was being double-teamed while Watt only had a single blocker to contend with and beat.
