Finally here.

Now we just wait a few hours to see what commercial is played once the Texans are on the clock.

Roy P

Guessing that the Rams take Goff...but Wentz is still possible.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 07:17 PM
And it is Goff. The Rams just got better. Safe pick, if that's a real thing.

Nconroe
04-28-2016, 07:50 PM
Jacksonville got a really good CB in Ramsey with fifth pick.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 07:50 PM
I hoped that the Jags would take Myles Jack or some other bust-waiting-to-happen. Andrew Luck and Osweiler will be throwing against Jalen Ramsey for years to come. :(

Thanks to the Cowboys' relentless fng stupidity BO will have half the field to work with twice a year. Nice one, Jerry.

Ronnie Stanley over Laremy Tunsil?!?!? Wondering what Ozzie Newsome knows that I don't? Tunsil must be facing a criminal charge or something. I don't get it.

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 07:59 PM
So far, our plan to have an OT fall to us is going well.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:00 PM
This just in....Tunsil had a post to Twitter smoking a Bong earlier today. Somebody sabotaged him obviously, but you can't be that stupid with so much on the line.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:05 PM
The Titans have traded up to 8 with Cleveland......They select - My TACKLE!!!!! Jack Conklin.

chuck
04-28-2016, 08:06 PM

Conklin to the Tacks. You are free to keep your thoughts to yourself.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:12 PM
Da Bears move up to 9 and trade with the Bucs. I'm guessing to select Hargreaves....

Nconroe
04-28-2016, 08:22 PM
Remarkable Tunsil and Jack falling from top 10. I'd take Tunsil , but need to talk with him. Seems Tunsil cost himself millions.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:22 PM
Eli "The Big" Apple to New York, New York. How punny.

chuck
04-28-2016, 08:26 PM
I would take Tunsil, too. The guy was in the conversation for #1 overall. Many if not most of these kids do that kind of stuff although I would hope that most of them would be bright enough not to film themselves doing it.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:26 PM
Hargreaves is slipping because of his size and 4.5 - 40 yard dash. Still think he's going to be a solid CB. Shaq Lawson is also a prototypical DE for a 4-3 Defense. What will the Bucs do?

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 08:27 PM
I wonder which team was holding onto that picture of Tunsil? That will be the one that planted it.

chuck
04-28-2016, 08:28 PM
I wonder which team was holding onto that picture of Tunsil? That will be the one that planted it.

I was thinking that it was his stepfather's camp. Who knows.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:29 PM
Hargreaves....Shaq is out of the top 10. He's going to make some team very happy.

They are saying Tunsil video is like 5 years old. And no positive drug tests st Ol Miss. Too bad.

They are saying Tunsil video is like 5 years old. And no positive drug tests st Ol Miss. Too bad.

The first thing I thought when I saw it is that it looks old, or better said he looks very young and a lot thinner than he is now.

I wonder if the Texans would have scouted him at all thinking something like

I would have Laremy Tunsil ranked #1, but I am 100% sure that he will not be available when we pick.

chuck
04-28-2016, 08:44 PM
Miami will be a great place for him. No way in hell he can find any drugs down there.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 08:59 PM
Corey Coleman is a Brown! Give me Josh Doctson please.

Nconroe
04-28-2016, 09:00 PM
Corey Coleman to Cleveland. Gets to catch with RG III. Hope it works for them. Still some good WR left for Texans for now.

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 09:03 PM
Taylor Decker to the Lions. Looking to trade down now.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:05 PM
If the Texans don't select Doctson at #22, I would be pleased with trading down and taking Sterling Shepard as a sweet consolation prize with a couple extra picks in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. :D

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:13 PM
THANK YOU!!!!!! Ryan Kelly to my Colts!!!!! Sorry. Just so F^@king happy about this pick.

Warren
04-28-2016, 09:13 PM
So two out of Treadwell, Doctson, Robinson, and Reed will be there. Not bad at all.

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 09:15 PM
I honestly didn't look hard at Lee and Lawson thinking they'd be gone. Would either be able to replace Crick??

Warren
04-28-2016, 09:15 PM
Or at least one. Wasn't a math major.

Blitzwood
04-28-2016, 09:25 PM
If we don't trade down, which I was hoping for, it's Kevin Dodd, Doctson, Treadwell, Will Fuller, or Robinson. Lee would be great, as would Ragland and Ogbah, but unlikely.

Dodd or a good receiver would be awesome.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:25 PM
So two out of Treadwell, Doctson, Robinson, and Reed will be there. Not bad at all.

Looking at WR Doctson, Thomas, Treadwell, and Shepard. A trade down would make sense.

Warren
04-28-2016, 09:29 PM
I guess their board shows a much more clear cut choice than any of ours...

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 09:30 PM
Did we trade up with the Skins?

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:31 PM
We traded up? Ugh. Please be Doctson.

Nconroe
04-28-2016, 09:31 PM
Texans trade up.

chuck
04-28-2016, 09:31 PM
Did we trade up with the Skins?

Yes. It's funny, we spent all this time talking about trading down and maybe never talked about trading up.

Blitzwood
04-28-2016, 09:32 PM
Here we go!
Fuller, nice pick!#

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 09:33 PM
Will Fuller. Speedster with bad hands. 21 drops last year.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:34 PM
Really? Dotson and Treadwell are available and you get Fuller? 4.3 speed with 4.8 hands. Trading down and getting Shepard would have been a better option in my opinion. Oh well. Hope he's not a shorter version of Darius Hayward-Bey or last year's carbon copy of Devin Smith.

For the Record.....if I could not have traded down, I would have selected Josh Doctson at #22.

Nconroe
04-28-2016, 09:34 PM
Fuller is ligit 4.32 speed. 30 TD at ND. Not bad.

chuck
04-28-2016, 09:35 PM
The Texans obviously liked this guy a lot more than any other receiver that was out there. I like that they went and got the guy they wanted rather than settling for whoever was left.

They still need someone to return kicks.

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 09:35 PM
We moved up and lost a sixth rounder in2017.

Warren
04-28-2016, 09:38 PM
Fwiw O'Brien recruited Fuller while at Penn St. but didn't get him.

Arky
04-28-2016, 09:39 PM
I like it. Speed, baby.

Get him working with D-Hop to straighten him out re: drops...............

Blitzwood
04-28-2016, 09:39 PM
I saw several Notre Dame games, and this kids talent jumps off the screen.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:44 PM
For the Record.....if I could not have traded down, I would have selected Josh Doctson at #22.

The Skins take Doctson at #22. I wonder if they would have taken him @ #21 without the trade. Then, I would have taken Michael Thomas or traded down. Surprised that Laquon Treadwell is still available too. Very interesting.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 09:58 PM
25 picks in and I am still looking at Michael Thomas, Jarran Reed, Bronson Kaufusi, Sterling Shepard, Kevin Dodd, Carl Nassib, Jason Spriggs, Vernon Butler, Kenny Clark, A'Shawn Robinson, and Paxton Lynch. The Broncos just traded up for....

Roy P
04-28-2016, 10:03 PM
The Broncos gave up #94 and #31 to trade up to #26. I would have traded down from #22 for that. The Broncos select...Paxton Lynch.

The Packers are up next, and Ted Thompson always seems to draft My Guys. Guessing he takes Jarran Reed or one of my other 1st round graded players.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 10:13 PM
Kenny Clark over Jarran Reed. Very interesting.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 10:19 PM
DAMN!!!! I was so hopeful that Garnett might last until the 3rd round. I would have been pleased if the Texans or Colts would have selected him in the 2nd round. He was just too good to slide down where I was constantly picking him in Mock Drafts. :(

HPF Bob
04-28-2016, 10:20 PM
Happy about the Broncos getting their QBOTF and lost just a 3rd rounder.

See Rick Smith? That's the RIGHT way to work a trade up.

Roy P
04-28-2016, 10:38 PM

A home run threat on every snap. A nice complement with Hopkins and Strong. Big investment to the offense which needed speed in the offseason and now have it with the additions of Fuller and Lamar Miller.

You want to know another receiver with questions about his hands out of college?

"I wouldn't label him a 'body catcher,' because he does grab the ball out in front of him, but he doesn't look really that natural (as a receiver)," said one personnel director. "He doesn't have those real, soft hands, you know?" That's from an ESPN article in 2003 about Andre Johnson.

PFT reporting the Texans were targeting S Karl Joseph from West Virginia. I think Florio, who posted this article, went to WVU so maybe he knows someone there?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/29/texans-wanted-karl-joseph-badly/

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Texans badly wanted former West Virginia safety Karl Joseph.

The Texans never got a chance to get him, because the Raiders surprisingly made Joseph the 14th overall selection — despite a torn ACL he suffered last year at practice.

This makes me wonder how they feel about Sean Davis and Vonn Bell. Maybe we could get Miles Killebrew. Heck TJ Green and KJ Dillon are possible too.

HPF Bob
04-29-2016, 03:50 PM
Were it mine to do, I would have offered the Broncos the same move down and have two third-rounders. With my three top guys all off the board at #22, I would have moved down to #31 and added #94, selected Ifedi or a d-lineman and come back in the second to take Martin, Shepard, Chris Jones or Nassib depending on how the chips fell.

Fuller might have still been there at #31 anyway. Rob Rang had him listed as the 35th best prospect in the draft.

Until proven otherwise, I see Fuller as a guy whose upside is Alvin Harper and his downside is Darius Heywood-Bey. Not worth the 21st or 22nd pick but in the discussion at the beginning of Round 2.

Roy P

I fully agree with you, Bob.

Can't say I was jumping for joy at the pick but we've been slow and shallow at the WR position since inception. I can see Hopkins, Fuller and Miller with Strong essentially playing the move TE position all being on the field at once. Adds a lot more dimension to our offense to be sure. Our D will be fine...be nice to have a ball hawking safety and another dynamic DL but you can't get everything...maybe something will fall in our laps on day 3 that surprises everyone down the road.

Seems reviews of Will Fuller all over, Lance Zerlein included in this summarization.

http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/134259/will-fuller

I heard an interview on 610 with his coach. Coach said not bad hands, but occasionally starts thinking of run before ball caught. Says he is tough and gained weight this past year.

So, being positive and hope to see best on the field. His production was pretty good in TDs.
