Default Season Prediction

with the preseason over it's time to throw out predictions for the season. i said all year long that i would not believe in the texans (primarily due to kubiak) until they proved it to me, but now that the season is here (and due in no small part to how the rest of the division looks), i am backtracking. so here it goes:

texasn 10-6, and win the afc south and the right to host their first playoff game.

someone please pass the kool-aid

Since there are no consequences, I'l say 14-2

If there are consequences, I'd be good with 10-6/9-7 area.

I think we will be "in" 14 of our 16 games. Two turds are bound to happen, I just hope they are against the NFC teams.

Here's to hoping the ball bounces our way in the 14.

Default 2011 Season Predictions

I've got the Texans winning 6 or 7 of their last 8. So, if they can go 4-4 or better in the first eight while the defense comes together, they'll be in for a good year.

This is a mature offense, now. Most have spent many, many snaps in this offense and there is just no reason they shouldn't be able to put points on the board against any opponent. They can be quick-strike sometimes but consistency was always the issue last year. I look for the offense to raise their game a notch...

Prediction: 10-6

Wow, I think I did it right the first time.

I'm liable to delete a thread when I'm moderating, ya know...

Concur. That's what I predicted way back when they settled the CBA. I just hope for a better than even break on injuries and such.

Eheh, good job. I forgot one thing - can you edit it to show who voted for what? I guess I missed the "show voters" checkbox (or whatever it's called). If you can't, no biggie....

Man, I WANT to say 10-6 or above, but then I think of the Kubiak factor... The D will be better, but Kubiak has got to figure out a way to get this O to play better out of the starting gate in games. I was fairly happy with the in-game Offensive adjustments last year, but they can't stink it up in the first half of games and expect to be a consistently good, playoff calibre team.

I obviously been drinking too much cool-aid at 11-6, but , somebody's got to cover every number up there. who knows.

I hope they can start 5-3 or 4-4. I am not taking bets either.

I'll be the Debbie Downer and predict 8-8, no playoffs. Can't be fooled by the preseason. Need to be able to stop the run. Need to somehow keep Schaub and Daniels from their frequent fatal errors.

I'd love to be proven wrong here. We might still win the AFC South by default if Manning doesn't play much. But the schedule is going to be harsh and we face three straight teams (Steelers, Ravens, Raiders) that are the dirtiest in pro football and could cause a key injury or two.

Default 2011 Texans Predictions at STATstick

Hey all, i saw the predictions threads have started.

i created a site that allows NFL fans to track all their predictions (ever team/game/player).. No fees / No ads / No products being sold... just nfl fans and predictions.

www.statstick.com

how many yards will ben tate have for the season / in a specific game?
how many sacks will mario williams have? ect...

the site scores predictions with official NFL stats and ranks users based on accuracy of prediction. great tool.

let me know if you guys have feedback, i hope you like it.
