Schaub hits AJ for 20 and the 1st down. Swing pass to Foster gets 5. Tate for 1. Makes it 3rd and 4 coming up. Slant to AJ goes for 10 or 12 and gets the 1st down. Ball at the Chargers 25. Foster for 1. Flags pre-snap. Defense offsides, 5 yards. Makes 2nd and 4 coming up. Pass to Hopkins goes for about 10 or so.... Ball at the Charger 7, 1st and goal. Pass to Graham over the middle goes for the the TD. Chargers 28, Texans 14 4:57 left in the 3rd quarter.

-------------------------------- Deep pass to Gates is broken up by Manning, inc. 2nd and 10 coming up. Mathews for maybe 1. 3rd and 9 coming up. Rivers pass is broken up, inc. Chargers have to punt. Martin returns the punt to the Texan 25. Texans ball. 3:30 left in the 3rd quarter.

Dumpoff pass to Tate gets about 4.
Pass to AJ gets 10 and a 1st down. Pass to Hopkins good for 14. Ball at the Chargers 48. Schaub is sacked. 2nd and 21 coming up. Dumpoff to Foster goes for 8. Makes it 3rd and 13 coming up. Timeout Texans with 44 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. Deep pass to Hopkins good for about 30 yards. Ball at the Charger 21. Foster for 2. End of the 3rd quarter.

Schaub's pass to Foster isn't caught..... Texans to go for the 37-yard FG. Bullock's FG is good but flag on the play.....Charger get tagged for a 15-yard penalty.... Texans still alive... 1st and goal at the 9. Pass to OD good for the TD! Chargers 28, Texans 21 14:44 left in the game.

You sometimes get the feeling that Kubiak and Phillips are both still coaching from the last century. WCO had it's day. 3-4 defense had its day. But the schemes are getting so predictable that even superior talent can't make them dominant anymore.
Supposedly, Bud Adams' reason for firing Bum Phillips was that he had run the course with a "high school playbook" on offense. Then they switched to Stabler and Casper and two TEs and went to slop. Makes you wonder if the game is passing by our top coaches. IIRC, the Texans have never beaten the Chargers. Maybe they are to us what we are to the Dolphins.

Well, those 4 losses were a long time ago, few of these coaches or players were around.
That was a call in Texans favor or roughing defenseless center. Defense now got two in a row 3 and outs. Maybe Texans got the momentum now.

Ball gets snapped to Keo who runs it up the gut for the 1st down! Dump pass to Foster get 1. Nice one-handed catch.... Down goes Schaub. Loss of 6. 3rd and 15 coming up. Flags pre-snap. Delay on Texan -5. 3rd and 20 coming up. Schaub's short pass is dropped by Foster, inc. Texans have to punt. Royal brings the punt back to about the Charger 14. Chargers ball.
