Default Official Texans vs. Commanders Game Thread, 11/20/2022

It's Week 11 of 18 and the 5-5 Washington Comanches (sounds better) come to NRG this Sunday to take on the 1-7-1 Houston Texans in an early game Sunday on FOX. Washington is coming off a 32-21 road victory over the Eagles on MNF. The Texans are coming off a 24-16 road loss to the Giants.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke is 3-1 since taking over for Carson Wentz. He's 75/121, 62% completion, 840 yards, 5 TDs, 4 INTs and 82.7 rating. Top rushers are Antonio Gibson - 372 yds, 3.6 avg. and Brian Robinson - 305 yds, 3.3 avg. Leading the receiving corps is Terry McLaurin 46/737, 16.0 avg and Curtis Samuel 47/483, 10.3 avg. The Washington defense is rated 11th vs. the run and 15th vs. the pass (both yds/game).

Washington is in a bit of a letdown situation here, after their big upset victory over the Eagles. The Texans, however, have a way of not taking advantage of situations. For the Texans, they'll need to win the turnover battle, play 4 quarters and show something on both sides of the ball - big plays have been sorely lacking this year.

TV = FOX (channel 26 local), Sunday, noon CST, 11/20/2022

The line = Washington by 3

--------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------

Sounds better, but probably not any more acceptable than the Redskins.

New signees Eno Benjamin and Amari Rodgers will not be in today's game. Really curious to see these new additions at some point though.

Davis Mills = 6/9, 22 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 30.6 rating

Pierce = 6/2 yards

Total yards = Washington 246, Texans 5

First downs = Washington 14, Texans 1

So, Davis "bad half " Mills just showed. That means Davis "good half" Mills is on the way....

Wow that was stinker !
We've pretty much been in most of the games this year but
this game seemed to be over by early in the second quarter so today felt a lot like some of the blowouts last year and that's a crappy feeling.
