Prophetic.

And a heroic effort from all involved. A 19 play drive to take the lead followed by clutch defense. All without AJ, Mario, or schaub.

Awesome.

I was quite sure we'd win. What I didn't know was that we'd win by running for 150 yards against a defense that gives up about 50 a game. That is some serious patience with the running game after a very rough first quarter.

That's especially important because in order to win on the road in Cincy in what is sure to be shit weather the Texans are going to have to run the ball.

Time to find a punter.

Good call, Chuck. The Fox affiliate here switched us all over to the Cowboys at 3:15 so we missed the end of the Falcons' last possession.

Props to the defense. They held a really good offense to 10 points today. Props to Yates for managing the game as well as you'd ever want a fifth-round rookie to do it. Never panicked into bad throws.

Considering this was a game many of us penciled as a loss even when we still had Schaub healthy, we have to feel great about the win.

Sucks about AJ and Hartman. Hope they can return in time for the playoffs.

9-3 guys. 9-3 with everything that has gone wrong for us. Remember that.

Agreed. I've seen a lot of more questionable plays ruled the arm was going forward. I still don't understand how the refs came away with their decision.

Well, we got it back later when the Falcons had a Pick Six reversed by defensive holding so it evened out.

The call against McCain seemed quite questionable and Andre was incensed at how late it came. Dunta literally undressed Walter. There was no question about that play.

Yes Chuck, good call.

Also I was one of those guys that had this as a lose when the schedule came out.

Yates played very well. He's much better than Leinart.

I 2nd that. Crowd was off the hook yesterday.

I think our past failures has precluded me from stating what we have in our hometown team.

We have a DAMN good football team. Past failures have nothing to do with this squad. With the exception of the 4th Qtr vs. the Saints (whom I am a HUGE fan of this week), the D is absolutely dominant. Period. Exclamation Point.

Major kudos to TJ. The kid has SACK, plays with poise, and is obviously not afraid of the big stage. Did he make some mistakes....sure. But the TEAM over came them, with a little help from the officials/other team as well.

Prior to this, I was expecting doom and gloom, limp into the playoffs, probably finishing 2-3/3-2 area. I fully expect us to finish 3-1 at worst over the next, and it wouldn't shock me at all if we ran the table, and had a first round bye.

DAMN, ITS GOOD TO BE A TEXAN TODAY!
