Tate sweeps left and fumbles the ball. Angerer of the Colts recovers and takes it to the Texan 13. 10:27 left in the game.

Carter for about 2. 2nd and 8 coming up.

Flag pre-snap, encroachment on Mitchell, 5 yards, makes it 2nd and 3.

Pass to Wayne in the back of the endzone is complete for the TD.

Texans 34, Colts 7

The Texans are going to dick around and not score any more points and let Indy score another time or two. Vintage Kubiak, vintage Texans. If you think there's anything particularly different about this team in comparison with previous Kubiak teams you are sadly mistaken. The Texans are going to get dismantled by good teams.

Kickoff is out of the endzone so Texans ball at their 20.

Tate loses 2 on the sweep right. 2nd and 12 coming up.

Tate gets the 2 back. 3rd and 10 coming up...

Tate gets about 5 so Texans have to punt on 4th and 4.

Colts fair catch at their 39.

6:57 left in the game.

Pass to Wayne goes all the way to the Texan 25.

Pass to Clark good for 13.

Addai for 1 but flag on the play. Barwin in the neutral zone. Makes it 1st and 5 at the Texan 7.

Pass into the endzone goes inc. 2nd and 5 coming up.

Pass to Collie complete but feet are out of the endzone. 3rd and 5 coming up.

Timeout Colts.

one or two slight differences with past such as being up 34-0 rather than behind 28-0 before trying to come back.

nice second sack of the game by Mario as well.

5:38 left in the game.

Collins sacked by Mario! Makes it 4th and 14.

Collins pass sails out of the endzone, inc. Texans ball at their 16.

Tate for 12.

Tate for 3. 2nd and 7 coming up.

Tate for 4. Brings up 3rd and 3 with about 3 minutes left in the game.

Tate gets 3 and the 1st down.

2 minute warning.

Well, the good news is Mario can in fact play OLB. The bad news is that Barwin can't. I expect Reed to see the field more and more.

Looks like Texans will win this game but this has got to be the most disgusting victory ever. I'm disgusted by what I saw in the 2nd half. With 3 turnovers theres no doubt we would have lost this game if sheriff Manning was 100% healthy.

Defense was noticeably relaxed in the second half. Then turned it up a bit toward the end.

Who cares about the 2nd half? The game was over and this is not the BCS where style points count.

This game told us nothing of importance. The Texans are significantly more talented than the colts without manning and they pounded them. The colts paid the price for constructing their team around manning and having a terrible backup plan. I am guessing they will still take one stinker after the reat years this team has had, but really dumb to enter the year with a 35 year old QB with a recent neck surgery and curtis painter as the backup.

Next week should say a lot more. A road game against a slightly better team and a tough stretch looming that makes it almost must win.

But there is nothing disgusting about a 27 point win in the NFL.

The Texans let down in the second half, and that led to them getting sloppy. Yeah, the pick in the 1st quarter was vintage Schaub, but this team was good through the half. Yes, I was concerned by the let down in the second half. Disgusting is a little strong. I don't think there would have been a let down if the Colts would've had Manning under center, and I think the Texans would have held the ball better. And I think the Texans would have won. The score would have just been a lot closer.

The first quarter pick hit AJ in both hands. Not a great throw, but no reason a ball that hits both his hands should be intercepted.

1. Excellent first half, so - so second half.
2. The Colts aren't the same without Manning for sure.
3. We turned the ball over 3 times, and that just can't be allowed to continue. Tate fumbled away the ball, but also ran for over a hundred yards.
4. All is well though, we are 1-0 with 15 to go.

I was wrong, and that was fun.

I was wrong about the Colts, I guess I have them too much credit, as I thought it would be a much better game than that.

That was the BEST half of football I have ever seen in Houston.
2nd half is what it is, coast mode makes guys not as sharp. Happens everywhere in the league.

W is a W, and looking forward to starting 2-0.

Very sad news about Walter....saw a report of a broken shoulder, out 12+ weeks.....next man up, but we are really gonna miss him with the running game.

Depends how you look at it. The most satisfying half was the 2nd half against the Cowboys nine years ago. It really never gets old.

Maybe they bring back Jeff "You've Got" Maehl to keep all the slow white boy plays in the playbook.

BTW, CBS would like to inform us again that Kerry Collins has a big arm still.

Great win to start the season, the momentum on defense is palpable, Miami is on notice.
