Rosenfels Not Introduced as the Vikings Starter?

To me, the larger point is that the Vikings portrayed Jackson as their 2009 starter rather than as a competitor for the job along with Sage Rosenfels. Or, at the very least, that's the way Houshmandzadeh perceived the situation when the Vikings offered to put him and Jackson in a meeting room. It's very possible that Rosenfels wasn't in the building that day. But for Houshmandzadeh, the message was clear. High-profile free-agent visits are planned and choreographed, and the Jackson meeting probably wasn't a last-minute arrangement. ...

Unless that pick we received from the Vikes was a conditional pick, I don't really care. But the hush-hush way the compensation was announced has made me suspicious that there are some strings attached which aren't being reported.

I'd love it if it was Sage-for-a-4th as reported but I suspect there is something else to the deal which means we will get less.

Could have been that Sage has not relocated yet to Minnesota. Sage loves to get his golf on and I doubt the Land of 10,000 lakes is ready for the golf season to begin.

Probably not, but maybe by July ?
You know what though, I visited the twin-cities area one weekend in the summer several years ago and they have some serious heat-humidity up there in the summer. Atleast they did the weekend I was there. Thought I'd landed in Houston instead of MN. But FWIW Minneapolis is a beautiful city.

Sage was on the radio earlier this week. He's still in Houston. He's going up a week or two before the Vikes offseason program starts. Great interview by the way.

The company I work for has an office in Minneapolis. It is a beautiful city. Although I do try to stay far away during the winter months. I actually took a golf vacation last summer in Cross Lake MN. Great golf courses for a very reasonable price. The casinos sucked lake water, but it was a great way to spend a relaxing week out of the Houston boiler.

Lots of folks don't know that they have a very humid summer that's fairly reminiscent of Houston. You are correct, Mpls. is a very pretty city.......in the summer. Winter can be pretty also, but you will freeze your nuts off if you go outside.
