#Broncos attempted to trade Peyton Manning this off-season to the Houston #Texans per more than one source in position to know. (1/2)

2/2 Certain elements of Broncos organization wanted Osweiler era to begin this season.

I highly doubt this got very far if there's any truth to it at all. The Texans didn't have all that much cap space and I just don't think they would've done it, let alone give up what DEN likely wanted in return.

Obviously we blew it not taking him a few years ago, but Peyton couldn't throw the ball by the end of 2014.

QB wants complete control of the offense and Manning is the opposite of that.

Something is flawed with this sentence.

I've been telling Bronco fans who love the Kubiak hiring that Manning is not a Kubiak-style QB and neither is Osweiler the groomed successor. They retort, "Well, what about Flacco? He changed his offense to work with Flacco."

I said "Yes, and if he's smart, he'll change his offense to work with Manning but Kubiak still lusts for a QB that can run his naked boots and zone blocking attacks. He still wants to throw seven yard outs on 3rd-and-10 and toss in the occasional white boy reverse."

As soon as Manning retires, I'm sure Kubiak will redesign the offense to feature a sprinting QB. God knows there are a ton of them coming out of college and he just needs to find one who can read defenses, throw accurately and knows when to just go down and not risk getting hit.

Sorry, you know I meant Kubiak wants complete control and so does Peyton.
