Texans are no longer 0-fer vs. Cincinnati.

Cincinnati: All Your Base Are Belong to Us!

Final Score:

Texans 35, Bengals 6

(Man, that's gotta improve the ol' points/game on both sides of the ball.....)

Dunta is:

leading the team in tackles

has a pick (and a finger tip away from two)

I think we are getting above expectations from him right now.

I see good things from this guy in the near future. Now if we can do something about our run defense. We could probably make a push. in this division.

AFC South
indy 3-3 (taking on the undefeated titans monday night)
jacksonville 3-3 (losing to the browns with 2 min. left in the game)

we could very well be tied for second place in our division by weeks end.

Texans ended with what looks almost dominating performance, especially the second half.

I think the two safeties of Nick Ferguson and Eugene Wilson seem to add some speed and coverage improvement in the secondary.

that's it the jaguars have lost to the browns making them 3-4.

We are no longer the worst team in our division.

although I do not like the titans I am pulling for them to beat indy.

How sweet it is to win by such a comfortable margin, even if we're playing a against a teams backup QB.
Today Schaub made Kubiak & Smiths decision to give up 2 twos for him a smart investment. And AJ is the man. For about the 3rd or 4th week in a row, he does look like one of the NFLs premiere recievers.
And I thought today D-Rob started to really look like the D-Rob we know and love. Understandably he was a bit tentative his first time back last week after his year off because of injury, but today he was showing some of the quickness and aggresiveness that have made him a premiere NFL corner. So far I think he's looking betters than we had any right to expect ?

Funny of the day, the crowd laughing when they announced "Ocho Cinco" on the reception.

You know what I have noticed. Jacques Reeves not being nearly as noticable the past few weeks. That is a good thing. Moulden making plays on ST. Adjustment in the game plan on the defensive side. Nice to see the thinking caps are on at Reliant Park. Cincy cannot run the ball, out goes Demps, and in goes the more mobile Ferguson.

I'm not. This division is still winnable, IMO. Reel the Titans in some.

I think this team learned something from last weeks game against Detroit. How to finish a game in the second half, and It really proved it in the second half of the Cincy game. Wow!

I agree, I think the last 3 games have been hard lessons the team needed to learn and they seemed to have learned them.

The team has learned that they need to be smart in context of the game situation. Sometimes it is better to go down with the ball, then to try to make a big play that backfires. Sunday with around 3 minutes left, Schaub took a dive because the rush was getting close. A 1st down cements the game, but not fumbling the ball and punting it deep was the better play. Lesson learned from the Colts game.

Also this week the offense kept the pressure on, the starters never left the game and they kept on scoring, they learned never let a team off the hook, one or two big plays and they are back into the game, keep scoring and make them submit. Another lesson learned.

This upcoming week will be the biggest game of the year. Can they play 60 minutes of football against a solid team on the road? If they do, the sky is the limit, if they do not then....
