i thought boyd was the #3 last week, brink the #3 this week to give them both a look....boyd probably wins out from experience but i heard this somewhere...

25 roster spots for offense
QB - (3) Schaub, Sage, Boyd
RB - (4) Green, Taylor, Slaton, Walker
FB - (1) Leach
WR- (5) A. Johnson, Walter, A. Davis, Jones, Anderson
TE - (3) Daniels, Breunner, Dreessen
OL - (9) Winston, Myers, Pitts, Brown, Briesel, Butler, Eslinger, Weary, Studdard

3 roster spots for special teams
ST K - Brown
ST P - Turk
ST LS - Pittman

24 roster spots with Dunta on the PUP list which i don't think counts right now but it would be 25 with him...
DL (8) Williams, Weaver, Cochran, Okoye, Johnson, Okam, Zgonina, Bulman
Pass Rusher (1): Colvin
LB (6) Ryans, Greenwood, Diles, Adibi, Bentley, Thompson
DB(9) Bennett, Reeves, Molden, Brown, Demps, Earl, Harrison, Ferguson, Fletcher Dunta's on the PUP

i cut chris brown and maddox, hopefully barber makes it to the PS...why not-brink too. boyd, walker, maybe a few from o/d lines and some safeties won't dress for the game...i don't think studdard should make it...i don't think he's that good but i'm also not the coach...

25 spots?
QB - (3) Schaub, Sage, Boyd - PS - Brink
RB - (4) Green, Taylor, Slaton, Walker
FB - (2) Leach, Abbate -
WR- (5) AJ, Walters, AD, Anderson, Jones
TE - (3) Daniels, Dreessen, Breunner/Krause I am still not sure,
OL - (8) Winston, Myers, Pitts, Brown, Briesel, Salaam, Frye, Studdard (Only keeping Frye over Butler because he can go inside also. This a dangerous move only having one true OC on the roster, Briesel could get hurt before the center.

3 spots
ST K - Brown
ST P - Turk
ST LS - Pittman

25 Spots?
DL (8) Williams, Cochran, Okoye, Johnson, Okam, Maddox, Bulman, Kalu
LB (7) Ryans, Greenwood, Diles, Adibi, Bentley, Thompson - PS - Moffitt
DB(10) Bennett, Reeves, Molden, Brown, Demps, Earl, Barber, Harrison, Fletcher, PUP Robinson

I still have room for a LB.

Does Weaver really make this team? I just cant see it. No way we should cut Kalu and keep him.

I really hope its - Williams, Okoye, Johnson, Cochran, Okam, Kalu, Bulman, Robinson, Maddox

Switch out Colvin for Bulman maybe. Hope not.

Here we go. My shot at the 53.

P - Turk (1)
Pk - Brown (2)
LS - Pittman (3)

QB - Schaub - Rosey (5)
RB - Green, Slaton, Taylor, Shipp, Leech (10)
WR - AJ, Walter, Davis, Anderson, JJ, (15)
OL - Brown, Pitts, Myers, Briesel, winston, Salaam, Studdard, White, Butler
(24)
TE - OD, Dreesen, Bruener (27)
DL - Mario, Weaver, Omobi, Maddox, Robinson, Bulman, Johnson, Okam. (35)
LB - Demeco, Diles, Greenwood, Bentley, Adibi, Thomson, Coley. (42)
CB - Reeves, Bennet, Molden, Petey, Fletcher, Roberson (48)
S - demps, Brown, Earl, ferguson, Barber (53)

My Surprise - Shipp - he can play ST. He gets the nod over Walker.
Not impressed with Boyd or Brink - not sure either deserve a spot on the 53.
PS - Brink, Moffit, Walker, Darnell Jenkins

Colvin came off the line last night as fast as any player ever wearing a texans uniform. I think that buys him a spot.

At RB I hope Walker makes the team, but it is not a big deal.

I'd like to see us keep 9 on the OL with White sticking around.

At this time of year people often fall in love with guys who have never done anything but had a good preseason (bulman over weaver and colvin). But remember, it is not just about who looked good against scrubs the past month. How these guys have played before does matter.

I don't think Colvin did anything to earn a spot. If you are going to be a specialist, then you need to specialize. Pittman snaps, Brown kicks, Turk punts... Colving gets blocked by second and third stringers.

It will be interesting to see what happens this afternoon.

I have a UMmass bias, that is why I threw Shipp in there. He is the type of guy who can run it in a pinch, play ST and Gary will call him a "professional."
