NConroe - Re your piece entitled "JLR's guide to fixing the Texans defense" from the Chronicle, this JLR guy seems to know something about football but his theory that Mario is a natural 4-3 strongside DE (like Michael Strahan) and not a pure weakside-quick-twitch-edge-rusher has been known from Day One when he was drafted. I think he ended up dividing his time between each end of the DLine instead of being a full-time strongside DE was because it gave him more sack opportunities, however I'm not sure who's idea that was ?
Antonio S. is certainly better off inside at 3-tech on passing-situations but at about 275 dunno if he's big enough to play there full-time ? And the Texans insistance on continuing to give Okoye as many snaps as he gets seems almost certainly to be tied more to his draft-posiion than his production ?
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Mitchell (and now another rookie who's been activated, undrafted Malcolm Sheppard).
But who knows how significant the season-ending injury to Barwin was, he may have been our answer at weakside DE ?
