Yeah I kinda lump him with Kubiak. I think they are a package deal, but with Bob who knows what he is thinking. I fear that he'll give Kubiak a pass for health reasons.

I think it's all but certain that they'll bring him back and that spells more trouble because it's plain that Kubiak has the real power on draft day.

The AZ blitzes sure worked in second half. Was that any particul OLmen or play calls or inexperience and injuries.

Ryan Griffin had a concussion.

Hopkins and Swearinger doing fairly good.

Too many penalties.

FG blocked. At least got 48 yarder.

7 loss in a row is Texans record.

We did win the turnover battle today.

Andre Johnson and JJ Watt really good game.

Let's win next week against Oakland.

Clearly, the team has problems but I have to disagree with Chuck on our draft results. Since 2008, we've drafted Duane Brown, Cushing, J.J. Watt, and picked up Arian Foster as an undrafted free agent. That's arguably the best LT, one of the top ILBs, arguably the best RB, and the best defensive player in football.

We've also drafted Barwin, Quin and Casey who are no longer here but got good money in free agency and are clearly considered quality players in the league (although the GM can take some blame for them no longer being here (at least Quin)). We also have Kareem Jackson, Tate, Mitchell, Graham, And Reed. All solid albeit not spectacular. In the to-soon-to-tell category, we still have Mercilus, Brooks, Crick, Hopkins, Swearinger, etc.

All in all, that's pretty solid drafting. I haven't went back and looked but outside of teams like the Colts who lucked into Luck, I doubt there is more than 5 teams who have drafted better.

But, again, something clearly isn't working and maybe I've overvalued these guys since their record is 2-7. I still think coaching is a bigger problem.

And i also agree that between his health issues and all the guys on IR, Kubiak gets another year.

This is what scares me. Kubiak should be fired no if and buts about it. Smh

Arky, appreciate the commentary as always, especially today though as another commitment prevented me watching this game live.

I dunno, is that Arizona D as good as KC's, maybe even better ? It's an outstanding unit. And only another stellar performance by our top players, both Andre on offense and JJ on defense, made for a final score that indicated the game was closer than it really was.
Hey look at the positive side of yesterdays game: we are now one of just 5 teams with fewer than 3 wins and that means we are on schedule for a top 5 pick in next Aprils Draft. Now how's that for making chicken salad out of you know what ? Hey seriously, with the new flatter, much less progressively structured cap including the component of the cap for Draft picks, these real high-picks are much more valuable than they use to be because they are no longer prohibitively expensive which has been the situation in many years in the past. And with over half the season to observe and evaluate Keenum's performance, the Texans should be able to come to an informed conclusion one way or the other about his ability and potential to be the starting QB of the future for the team. They say it's a very good years for QBs in the draft, but we could sure use a top OT or edge-rusher out of next years Draft. Or a CB. We obviously need lots and lots of help in the talent department.
