I think that's the key here. Slaton has the home run capability that most of the other backs don't and this is something our present roster collectively lacks. You can run a guy like Walker or Brown on the first two downs and turn to a guy like Slaton in the 3rd & 4-6 and see if he can bust a run or take a swing pass and get in space.

Remember all the fantasizing around here two years ago about Reggie Bush? Slaton does the same thing for a third-round price - maybe not as spectacularly as Bush but I think it's pretty obvious that Bush is a third-round talent with first-round hype.

If Slaton stays within himself, I think he'll be a great pick. If the Texans try to turn him into an everyday back, I think he'll be a disapppointment.
