The Saints do not respect the Texans' run game and nor should they. That's a concern.

Manning got caught looking in the backfield...he was in excellent position...looks like the offense outplayed the defense...granted we were missing three starters on defense...

Part of it is we really don't want to run foster and kind of don't want to run Tate. Regular season we would have 20 carries in a half like that. Not that it hurt us much offensively. We gouged them constantly and finished in the redzone.

Kubiak told 610 that Andre Johnson had the wind knocked out of him. Myers wasn't feeling well pre-game. #Texans -- Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli)

I was thinking that the Saints were not biting on the boot at all. If the Texans can't run the ball effectively (and the jury is out on whether this line can produce yardage) it obviously disrupts the offense completely.

Like I said, we had an unwillingness to run it that was tied to it being a preseason game. They did everything possible to avoid putting the ball in fosters hands. The early bootlegs worked perfectly before it was obvious we didn't want our backs carrying the ball.

The Texans didn't run the ball well because they didn't want to?

Upman D Hunter brings the squibby kickoff back to the Texan 25.

---------------------

TJ in at QB.

Yates' pass is complete over the middle to Casey for about 15.

Forsett goes left for 6 or 7.

Grimes gets about 5 on the right, 1st down. Ball in Saints territory.

Pass to Iglesias ruled inc. 2nd and 10 coming up. Flags down. Illegal touching (receiver stepped out of bounds). Do-over makes it 1st and 15.

Forsett gets 6 on the left side.

TJ is sacked. Makes it 3rd and 15.

Draw to Grimes gets about 9 or 10 so Texans have to punt.

Punt rolls into the endzone. Saints ball at their 20.
