I agree with NBT and Bob. I think Yates looked better throwing downfield, but I think Kubiak did not call any bootlegs for him other than the one in the endzone. IMO Kubiak just wanted to run the clock out. That almost cost us when the Jags made the QB move.

I Like Yates, but I do not see him winning in the playoffs yet either. If Leinart is out for any amount of time then go sign Jeff Garcia and get him into the meetings and on the practice field now.

Kubiak more or less said that in his post game. Wanted to make sure Yates came out "clean". Can't say I blame him with the luck we've had this year.....

GEEZ.

I keep holding up San Diego as an example of who the Texans might play in the first round. I guess I should quit doing that.

You gotta believe in St. Timothy The Inaccurate. He actually had a decent game throwing but it was others who made the big plays in OT for the most part. The funny thing is he won at Florida with superior talent and, in Denver, he's winning with inferior talent which is actually more fascinating.

QB is the only position that gets judged almost solely by wins and losses. You never here a DL with no sacks get talked up because he "just wins." You never here a Defense that can't stop anyone get talked up because the offense won a shootout (even if the D got a goalline stand in the end). Everybody but the QB gets judged by how they play. The QB gets too much blame when they lose and too much credit when they win.

Mark Sanchez was that guy the last two years. They won with defense and a running game in spite of him. This year they put more on him and lost more. Vince Young was that guy before. Remember when he was magical and the team just played harder/better when he was in? Except when they didn't.

Tebow is quarterbacking a team that gives up 10 ppg. There are about 50 NFL QBs that would win when the Defense gives up 10 ppg. Leinhart/Yates can win in those circumstances. That defense is winning in spite of him. In games they finished this year that team scored more with Orton that Tebow. They just started playing Defense and running the ball (a John Fox trademark and something they hadn't done the last year and a half). Von Miller is the unquestioned MVP of that team.
