That is unbelievable. I imagine several teams would have parted with their current starting QB if they knew the Raiders would pony up 2 1sts. I would probably trade Matt Schaub for 2 1st rounders.

The trade is good for all involved, Raiders get a QB, Bengals get some top draft picks and Carson Palmer gets to keep playing for money.

Time will tell if he is worth the draft picks, it has potential to work well, but it is a steep price. Trouble is trade deadline is coming up at 4 PM EST and Raiders had to do something.

Texans need to win this year, so trading away their best QB would not help that at all. This needs to be a win this year philosophy, not get better in three years plan, atleast for this regime, and for us fans who are waiting.

All the Raiders' first round picks could be had in the second round so I don't see what difference that makes.
