The Texans are wasting the best WR and the best RB in the NFL. That makes me sick.

I wouldn't have thought it was possible for all of last year's offense to return and basically be healthy, then you add a RB and become one of the best short yardage teams in the NFL, and you are 5-7.

A true testament to finding ways to lose, terrible defense, and organizational mismanagement.

You add a RB that you had all last year but refused to play. The management of this team is unreal. It is incredible that this is considered a professional team.

Their handling of Foster is not one of the many things you can knock this team for. They put more into him and believed more in him that 31 other NFL teams, so I am fine with it taking until game 15 last year for an undrafted rookie to win a starting job. He is a clear success story for the front office and coaching staff.

And hopefully he is one of the solid pieces that are put to great use by a new staff next year. Maybe then he won't be buried in the 4th quarter of a close game like he was last night and has been previously.

And I love how Chuck goes to the "financial committment" card at least once a year to show how great a fan he is. I wonder if he defines how much he loves his kids by how many presents are under the tree or if it's only in sports that "real" means spending money.

I thought it was time to drag that out again seeing as I hadn't made that assertion in at least a year. I did it mainly for you because I knew you would enjoy it particularly.

And cadams if you pm me your email address I'll be happy to send you a couple of scanned pages from my passport to give you an idea of how many trips I make. I am 100% serious that I live abroad and come back for games. And I don't claim that this makes me a better fan. I claim two things, one, I spend more money than the average fan (and by extension that might explain some of my periodic outrage) and two, I am an idiot.

i do appreciate it chuck. I feel like your random "financial committment" comments to be very helpful in helping me mark the seasons, especially since our houston trees don't change colors.

I can always count on a complaint about the lack of scoreboards or something similar to let me know the Texans season is dead and they have officially wasted another year of my time.

I would never begrudge anyone their coping technique. And yours at least seems healthier than the guy last week who put a whole in his wall.

Gobs and gobs of teams with a superior offense but a terrible defense routinely end their seasons with losing records. Nothing at all unusual about that result with that combination.
Kudos to the Eagles for covering the spread, but they just barely did so. The Texans actually did better than I thought they would, but then most of us have known their season has been over for some time now so the expectations are modest at this point.

Another losing season for a loser franchise. The Texans are in the same company as the Lions and the Bills and the Browns. They are a shit franchise with shit leadership and that includes shit ownership. I can't see anything that that complacent blowhard McNair could possibly do to retain my loyalty to the team.

Then stop rooting for them and stop posting. Find someone else to follow.

......makes me ****************ing sick that we're just a few plays from leading the division or making the playoffs YET AGAIN. If we're gonna suck, let's SUCK. Enough of this Mickey Mouse stuff man.

The offense does have major issues. It's had issues since Owen Daniels went down last year.

Buy a ticket, asshole. You have no financial commitment to the team. I have been a season ticket holder since day one and you have never spent a dollar on the team so blow me.

How the hell do you know what I have or haven't committed financially to the team? If I actually LIVED in Houston, I'd be a season ticket holder too.

Maybe you shouldn't renew your tickets for next year.

Besides, it's not like having season tickets makes you more of a fan. What kind of bullshit is that.

I don't live in Houston, dude. I don't even live in the United States. I maintain an apartment in Houston both to have a place to stay when I come in for various holidays and when I come in for football games. So not only do I spend money on this shit franchise (and following your advice I will almost certainly not renew next year) I spend tens of thousands of dollars every year just freaking getting here to watch this team get smoked by shit teams from all over the league. So, yeah, I have more skin in the game than the average dumbass who just watches the games on TV.

In sum, I am plainly a far greater dumbass than the average.

Is this guy ever going to get banned? I mean, I remember when I first started here I got a warning message from Keith just for posting my comments in bold and yet this guy keeps getting personal with the name calling and no one seems to notice but me. Are there even ppl moderating on these boards?

I vote for banning people who put silly, juvenile game score images in their signature.
