20 DeAndre McDaniel S Clemson 6' 1" 190
52 Kristofer O'Dowd OC USC 6' 5" 300
84 Titus Young WR Boise State 5' 11" 170
116 Johnny Patrick CB Louisville 5' 11" 190
148 Brandon Bair DT Oregon 6' 7" 266
180 Josh Bynes ILB Auburn 6' 2" 239
211 D.J. Young OT Michigan State 6' 5" 310

Interesting mock.

My cherry pick

20 Derek Sherrod OT Mississippi State 6' 6" 305
52 Kristofer O'Dowd OC USC 6' 5" 300
84 Charles Brown CB UNC 5' 10" 205
116 Jermale Hines S Ohio State 6' 2" 210
148 Derrick Locke RB Kentucky 5' 9" 190
180 Scott Tolzien QB Wisconsin 6' 3" 205
211 Kai Forbath, Kicker UCLA 6-0, 200

Sherrod is an elite OT, Time to go with a bigger OL, LT Sherrod, LG Caldwell, OC ODowd, RG Winston, RT Brown.

That's interesting, defensible and maybe even a great idea. No fing way the team does anything like it, though.

If after the season they decide to hire a new HC then this is a possibility.

Quite true. I guess I'm stuck in the mindset that even if the team misses the playoffs again the same staff will be back for more next year or whenever they resume play.

I'm with you here, I am thinking it's 75/25 that Kubiak is back/gone after the season.

Trade our 1st for Buffalo's 33rd & 65th pick.

33. Marcus Cannon OG 6-6 345 TCU
52. Sam Acho DE 6-3 260 Texas
65. Kenrick Ellis DT 6-5 340 Hampton
84. Titus Young WR 5-11 180 Boise St
116. Johnny Patrick CB 6-0 190 Louisville
148. Damien Berry RB 6-0 210 Miami
180. Pierre Allen DE 6-5 265 Nebraska
211. Da'Norris Searcy S 6-0 210 UNC

This draft addresses our defensive woes by giving our secondary more quality depth and our D line some much needed youth, athleticism and size. It also gives us a quality OG with more size than we're accustom to and provides depth at WR (incase JJ leaves) and RB (insurance for Ben Tate).

Thumbs up Trade up

If we end up in the playoffs (not likely now with the worst D in the league, and so many injuries to key players), then for the first time in this franchises history, I would be for trading up to get either 1) that dominant DT we have been looking for forever, or 2) another game changer on offense like AJ or similar.

Texans keep dropping lower in the draft, they are currently picking #12. Not a bad effort DT, CB,OG and a PT.

12 Drake Nevis DT LSU 6' 1" 300
44 Shareece Wright CB USC 6' 0" 185
76 Orlando Franklin OG Miami 6' 7" 318
108 Mason Foster ILB Washington 6' 2" 244
140 Jeff Maehl WR Oregon 6' 1" 175
172 DeQuin Evans DE Kentucky 6' 2" 250
203 Chas Henry PT Florida 6' 3" 215

My cherry pick for a 4-3 and a 3-4

12 Brandon Harris*, CB, Miami 5-11 195. / Robert Quinn* OLB UNC 6' 5" 260
44 Deunta Williams S UNC 6' 2" 205 / Von Miller OLB Texas A&M 6' 3" 240
76 Ras-I Dowling CB Virginia 6' 2" 200/ Jerrell Powe DT Mississippi 6' 2" 330
108 Mason Foster ILB Washington 6' 2" 244 / Shiloh Keo S Idaho 5' 11" 210
140 Benjamin Ijalana OT Villanova 6' 4" 320 / Jaiquawn Jarrett S Temple 6' 2" 195
172 Zach Roth OT TCU 6' 6" 316 / Phil Taylor DT Baylor 6' 4" 355
203 Derek Epperson P Baylor 6-3 235. / Derrick Locke RB Kentucky 5' 9" 190

The first player is for a 4-3 pick and the 2nd player is the 3-4 pick.

Who I'd select.

12.Janoris Jenkins, CB, Florida - (he's coming out this year)self explanatory.
44.Deunta Williams, S, UNC- self explanatory. Can also return kicks.
76.Austin Pettis, WR, Boise St-AJ being hurt most of the year crippled us offensively.(Also would replace JJ)
108.Jonathan Freeney, DE, Rutgers-improving the pass rush is a bigtime need.
140.Josh Bynes, ILB, Auburn-Depth at LB and insurance incase DR doesn't fully recover.
172.Phil Taylor, DT/NT, Baylor-New Project to replace the old project.
203.D.J. Scott, OT, E. Carolina-Insurance incase Butler leaves.

203 Chas Henry PT Florida 6' 3" 215
15 Stephen Paea DT Oregon State 6' 1" 285
47 John Moffitt OC Wisconsin 6' 4" 313
79 Austin Pettis WR Boise State 6' 3" 200
111 Marcus Gilchrist S Clemson 5' 11" 190
143 Nate Irving ILB North Carolina State 6' 1" 235
175 Jonathan Nelson CB Oklahoma 5' 11" 180
206 Jah Reid OT Central Florida 6' 7" 315

we dropped 3 spots with the win Sunday, good news bad news.

Not a bad draft, Moffitt is a OG right now and would most likely be a OG with the current staff.

My choices:
15 traded to KC so they can take Locker for 23, 55
23 DeAndre McDaniel S Clemson 6' 1" 190
47 Deunta Williams S UNC 6' 2" 205
55 Jimmy Smith CB Colorado 6' 2" 205
79 Jerrell Powe NT Mississippi 6' 2" 330
111 Andy Dalton QB TCU 6' 3" 215
143 Nate Irving ILB North Carolina State 6' 1" 235
175 Zach Roth OT TCU 6' 6" 316
206 Eddie Jones OLB/DE Texas 6' 3" 260

Now let the DBs play for reps on the field. Powe can be a force in the middle if we stay in a 4-3 or become the future (sign a FA for 2011) force at NT in a 3-4. Dalton is a project but has a gun and mobility. A couple of new LBs to battle for time. Roth is a project type OT.
