I think that was the reason for the pick. Trying to make the playoffs now calls for someone ready to step in and start rather than waiting a year or two for the player to get up to potential. I like up side but with Robinson gone the need is now rather than later for a quality starter. If Jackson is the player then I have no problem with the pick.
