Punt is downed at the 15 but flag on the play. Holding on Niners = 1/2 the distance. Ball at the Niner 6.
Pass to Morgan picks up 10 and the 1st down. 1st down pass goes inc. 1:07 left... Pass to Bruce good for a long gainer out to the Niner 38. 2nd down pass goes inc. 45 secs left. Smith has to scramble out of bounds - short gain. 4th and 5. Flag on the play. Offense delay. 4th and 10. Whew! INT'ed by Wilson.... Last edited by Arky; 10-25-2009 at 03:07 PM. |

Man. This was a crazy game. Well at least we ended up with the second consecutive game saving picks.

Roughness on Pollard after the play gives the Texans the ball at their 39.
Texans are kneeling it out. Final score: Texans 24, Niners 21 A "W" is always pretty..... |

I am so glad that SF did not realize they could throw on us until the second half...

The second half was a disaster and it is unacceptable. Im pretty sure Peyton Manning will spend alot of time studying our secondary's second half performance. I can see him salivating as he watches.

Well, we don't play Peyton next week, we play Buffalo. Any win is acceptable. The way we played in the second half is what is questionable. Too conservative. Where SF was blitzing like crazy we were still rushing our 4 man front, sometimes only 3, trying to play prevent on Alex Smith. I am glad we played SF now, and not later when Crabtree really gets his feet on the ground. That young man is going to be something to see.

Yeah, trying to prevent the big play by keeping LBs in coverage. Our Secondary needed the extra bodies. It's nice to get sacks and pressure, but if you don't, you get killed.
