Default Official 2009 NFL Draft Round 4 Thread

With the first three picks in the book, it's time to move onto the fourth round.

Who would take Brown before we pick? No way: Jets, Steelers, Vikes, Colts, Panthers, Broncos, Cards, Eagles, Niners.

But I would not have any problems if we somehow came away with Andre Brown

I'm really hoping for Chip Vaughn and/or Andre Brown.

I have to say we don't need him, but Shawn Nelson would be great value at TE. (he has a 2nd round grade by many)

Stephen McGee will have plenty of time to develop behind Romo.

I went into this draft thinking that we needed to accrue some 3rd and 4th round picks. Here we are with plenty of talent available. I'm anticipating Vaughn and Brown.

I hope so, Roy.

A wild card to consider here is Johnny Knox

So if the Texans do what you want and Brown and Vaughn are still available 112, who would you want Roy?

Nevermind, your next post said it all

He's really slow.

I wouldn't mind him strictly as a thumper/short yardage back. But, I don't think he has the edge speed to be a legitimate back-up to Slaton.

I do wonder if the Texans actually believe Chris Brown is really healthy and ready to contribute?

I was thinking the same thing a little bit ago. Would be interesting to know. Guess we'll find out with the next two picks if Brown or another back they like is available.

I think that Kubiak really wants a guy who can step in and be the "feature" back if Slaton gets injured. Gartrell doesn't have enough quickness to threaten the edge, so he has to run between the tackles. He'd be OK as a specialist short-yardage guy, but perhaps we sign him as an UDFA to go along with Andre Brown or Rashad Jennings.
