When this was brought up before, I wondered if the Chiefs would allow Gibbs to interview for a lateral move. I guess with some of the flux in K.C., plus with the knowledge that Gibbs the Younger might have the opportunity to work with Gibbs the Elder, must have been enough.

I'm sure people will complain if he gets hired, but it's not a guarantee that Gibss will come back. If hiring his son helps insure one more year of Gibbs then it's a good thing. we know Rhodes will be back in come capacity so he can help out baby Gibbs.
