The 8-6 Los Angeles Chargers come to NRG this Sunday to take on the 3-11 Texans in an early game. The Texans are coming off a 30-16 road win over the Jags while the Chargers are coming off a tough 34-28 OT loss to the Chiefs at home.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert is having a pretty good year - 66% completions for 4,058 yards, 7.5 avg, 32 TDs, 12 INTs, 99.1 rating. RB Austin Ekeler leads the team in rushes with 789 yards, 4.6 avg. Top 2 receivers are Keenan Allen - 92 receptions, 1,007 yards, 10.9 avg, 5 TDs and Mike Williams - 64 receptions, 964 yards, 15.1 avg., 7 TDs. The Chargers defense is rated 10th against the pass and 28th against the run (yds/game). Unfortunately, the Texans don't have a run game. I don't think there's any way the Texans can win this. Fake positives from the fake covid tests have sidelined many of the good players and they are coming off a win where they haven't shown any ability to win two in a row. They are scrambling to field a team. Chargers in a romp.
