Simms is an interesting case. His problem is that, like Carr, he is just not football smart. I watched him last week and he was making the same mistakes he made as a rookie. I hate to use the word choker because I think it is way overused, but I think that's exactly what Simms is. With his good size, decent mobility, strong arm, and excellent accuracy, he should be one of the top QBs in the NFL. But as soon as the ball is hiked, he seems to go into a brain freeze.

I guess I wouldn't mind him as an emergency if we lost Schaub and Rosenfels, but I don't think he will ever work out his problems. Guys like him are just as likely to get worse as they are to get better. Look at Carr.
