Default Andre Johnson Will Participate in First Training Camp Practice

Woohoo!

Quote:
The sixth-year pro missed seven games in 2007 with a sprained knee and underwent arthroscopic surgery in June to repair lingering problems.
Johnson caught passes from Schaub over the last two weeks and will play in the first camp practice on Friday.
“I actually feel pretty good,” Johnson said. “I was out running routes yesterday and I haven’t had any swelling since I have been out running.

F yeah. Time for some football.

A healthy Andre is so vital this season.

I wouldn't mind the Texans pulling an LT and limiting the number of plays in the preseason games.

On the radio AJ said he and Schaub have been practicing for the past couple weeks. He also said he isn't in the condition he normally is coming into training camp.

yea, but are you really worried about his conditioning? andre is one of the most athletic dudes i've ever actually seen in person so i'm not at all. i'm just glad he's able to practice right now...

Not that I'm worried about his conditioning, but I want him to be in tip-top shape so that doesn't make it easier for him to hurt himself again. He's HUGE for us. It makes me salivate to even think about both Andres lining up opposite each other. Add in Walter and that three-WR duo could be damn difficult to cover for anyone.

He's vital.

or a 4 receiver set with jacoby thrown in there if he can find his pre-injury form from last year.

Andre looked good to me...they had him all over the field catching balls from the x,y and from the slot.

Smart to move AJ around. No sense in him starting every play in the same place. Keep the defense guessing and then allow him to work all over the field and exploit mismatches.

Great to have AJ from the getgo. Moving him all over will play fits with defenses. LUV IT!

It was great to compare notes with you today, hope to sit with you tomorrow. I want to see the WR, LBs and DBs.
