Default QBs that might get waived

With the injury to Grossman, and his medium rare playing this far, I wanted to look at WCO QBs that might get waived in September.

Eagles - AJ Feeley, Kevin Kolb,
Vikings - John David Booty, Tavares Jackson, Sage Rosenfels
Seahawks - Jeff Rowe , Seneca Wallace
Panthers - Josh McCown, Matt Moore
Bucs - Luke McCown, Josh Johnson
Falcons - Chris Redmond ,DJ Shockley, John Parker Wilson
Titans - Patrick Ramsey,
Lions - Drew Stanton
Steelers - Chalie Batch, Dennis Dixon
49ers - Damon Huard

I may have missed a team or two. But these are the main WCO teams. I have a couple of younger guys with no NFL experience, but mainly the older back up types on this list.

Any names you hope we get, anyone I missed you want.

Do we carry 3 guys? Grossman? other?

I'm not sure we'll see a third QB on the roster once again this year, but as I mentioned in the Grossman thread, I'd be all over Tarvaris Jackson if he was cut. With so much committed to Dan Orlovsky, I imagine there are other teams who would make him a clear #2, so Houston may not be a great destination in his eyes.

Jackson has been criticized as being an inaccurate passer (58.4% career), but he has the enough size and plenty of mobility for this offense. His TD:INT ratio last year was 9:2 though and he carried a 95.4 QB rating, so there may be as many tools there for Kubiak to work with as there is for Orlovsky, possibly moreso since Tarvaris is a bigger threat as a runner.

I am not seeing all of the tools I hear about with Orlovsky. He has a decent NFL arm but throws a wobbly ball and is not particularly accurate. He also has more of a deep ball arm rather than a fast ball arm. All of his medium throws looked bad. Additionally he appears a bit on the clumsy or mechanical side in his movements.

I think you guys are being way to rough on both Orlasky and Grossman based on one preseason game in the rain. give them a little more time with the Texans, and then maybe you will be right, I think they'll get better quickly.

If we could get Tavaris, now that would be good I suppose, just doubt he will be available. I wonder how Farve will actually do?

After going to all the open practices but one, I would say this is a pretty accurate assessment. His short throw motion is on the slow side, and he has a wobbly ball. He is usually under or over throwing, very rarely making an accurate pass.

Hopefully he will get the confidence to feel the rush and make the correct read, right now he is to new to the system, and appears mechanical.
