Kyle Allen's first attempt is thrown away, no one open. Offense goes 3-and-out.

Dolphins connect on a 45-yd field goal for their first possession.

0-3, Dolphins. 10:21 1st quarter

Allen's second attempt is a completion to Nico Collins for a first down. The Hard Rock Stadium turf is ass. TV crew blames it on a Hurricanes college fooball game. Blech.

Allen sacked on a 3rd-and-9 blitz for a 13-yd loss. Punt.

Dolphins start their second drive on a short field, then convert a fourth down in the red zone. Texans rookie LB Christian Harris appears injured, left the game on his own feet at least. Tua Tagovailoa touchdown 4-yd pass to TE Durham Smythe, who was a 4th round pick out of Notre Dame in 2018. This was Smythe's first reception since October 9 and just his 7th this season (and first TD, obvs).

0-10 Dolphins, 2:57 1st quarter

Texans benched LG Kenyon Green. Didn't matter, another punt.

First quarter ends during the Dolphins' next drive. Mothership says Harris is questionable with a shoulder injury.

Texans defense gets a stop on 3rd and 10 near midfield. Dolphins passing offense is legit good, but their receivers are just a tad off with some drops and deflections. Punt goes for a touchback.\

Allen is interepted in a lazy play action pass by LB Andrew Van Ginkel, a 5th rounds pick in 2019 out of Wisconsin, who returns it 22 yards to the Texans 3. RB Justin Wilson then takes the handoff right tackle for the score.

0-17, 12:22 2nd quarter

Allen back out there for another 3-and-out. Cam Johnston punts for the fourth time, 51.0 yd avg so far, so we have that goin for us, which is nice.

Dolphins get back into the red zone but stall out. Sanders converts a short 23-yd field goal. This has basically turned into a glorified scrimmage.

0-20, Dolphins. 6:22 2nd quarter

Allen is stripped, but former Dolphin LT Laremy Tunsil falls on it for a 6-yd loss following a (-4) completion to Collins.

Oh no, CB Xavien Howard recovers a Jordan Akins fumble, then runs 16 yards into the endzone for the score.

0-27 Dolphins, 4:59 2nd quarter
