The 8-6 Los Angeles Chargers come to NRG this Sunday to take on the 3-11 Texans in an early game. The Texans are coming off a 30-16 road win over the Jags while the Chargers are coming off a tough 34-28 OT loss to the Chiefs at home.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert is having a pretty good year - 66% completions for 4,058 yards, 7.5 avg, 32 TDs, 12 INTs, 99.1 rating. RB Austin Ekeler leads the team in rushes with 789 yards, 4.6 avg. Top 2 receivers are Keenan Allen - 92 receptions, 1,007 yards, 10.9 avg, 5 TDs and Mike Williams - 64 receptions, 964 yards, 15.1 avg., 7 TDs. The Chargers defense is rated 10th against the pass and 28th against the run (yds/game). Unfortunately, the Texans don't have a run game. I don't think there's any way the Texans can win this. Fake positives from the fake covid tests have sidelined many of the good players and they are coming off a win where they haven't shown any ability to win two in a row. They are scrambling to field a team. Chargers in a romp. Chargers 38, Texans 10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TV = CBS (channel 11 local), noon CST, Sunday, 12/26/2021 Announcers = Andrew Catalon, James Lofton The line = Chargers by 10 to 11½ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saturday: FOX/NFLN (3:30 pm CST) = Cleveland @ Green Bay, Joe Buck, Troy Aikman NFLN (7:15 pm CST) = Indianapolis @ Arizona, Joe Davis, Kurt Warner ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Other Sunday viewing in the Houston area: CBS (late) = Pittsburgh @ Kansas City, Jim Nantz, Tony Romo FOX (late) = Chicago @ Seattle, Gus Johnson, Aqib Talib ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prime time: TNF = San Francisco @ Tennessee (NFLN; Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen) SNF = Washington @ Dallas (NBC) MNF = Miami @ New Orleans (ESPN) |

Look at you Arky out there taking care of business the eve of Christmas eve.
Thanks for the dedication ! The only gripe I've got is that the games I really want to see (well besides the Texans game of course) are the Indy & Titans games on NFLNET only which I don't get thru U-Verse. But nevertheless Merry Christmas to all ! |

There's talk of cancellations maybe so stay tuned..... Have you looked into the Reddit streams? Search "NFL streams reddit" or https://reddit.nflbite.com/. Watch on your computer. Have to put up with ads, though.... Also, DirecTV has some cheap rates these days. This year they are doing free Sunday Ticket and Red Zone. They have NFLN and I get all the Astro and Rocket games. After a year or so, you can call them up and ask for a cheaper rate/loyalty discount. They will knock off $25 or $35/month off your bill. Got to do it once a year, though.... |

Just stream it over the internet for free, man, don't give those idiots any money. It's cost cutting strategies like these that afford me my 37 room River Oaks mansion, after all. That and supermarket coupons. You'd be amazed by the savings.
