Default Texans Mock Drafts

Figured I'd start a thread specific to how various mocks fall for the Texans:

3 Round mock:
http://draftbreakdown.com/pre-combin...nd-mock-draft/

RD1: Paxton Lynch
RD2: Kenneth Dixon
RD3: Bronson Kaufusi

I'd be happy with the first two picks. Cherry picking the third, I'd probably go LT (Hawkins or Murphy), or LB (Scooby or Jones).

Love Josh's analysis, but I don't agree much with his mock:

Has Wentz (QB1) going to the Rams and Goff (QB2) falling to the Texans.

Here's LZ's. Has 3 QB's going before our pick:

RD1: Ezekiel Elliott

I'd be good with that pick as long as OB feels he can get a good QB he can develop in RD2 (Hack/Prescott/whoever), or, they move back into RD1 or early RD2 for Cook. IMO, the Texans have got to find at least two (preferably more) future stud offensive players out of this draft. Preferably a QB and RB, although, I'd be happy with any combination of QB/RB/WR/OL/TE.

Walterfootball has us in an Ohio State pipeline:

Quote:
• Rd. 1, Pk. 22 Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State

The Texans were going to take Todd Gurley if he fell to them at No. 16 because the concerns about Arian Foster's soft-tissue injuries are real. Foster has never been the same since foolishly changing his eating habits, and he's never going to be a reliable player as a result. Houston will be looking for a new running back this offseason.

• Rd. 2, Pk. 21 Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State

Teams expect Christian Hackenberg to be chosen in the latter half of the second round. I'm sure the Texans would take a chance on him, given that Bill O'Brien got the most out of him when he was at Penn State.

• Rd. 3, Pk. 22 Jalin Marshall, WR, Ohio State

It's amazing that DeAndre Hopkins is so productive, considering that there's no one drawing attention across from him. The Texans want that to change.

• Rd. 4, Pk. 21 Nick Vannett, TE, Ohio State

Houston continues to bolster its anemic offense, as the tight end position will definitely need to be addressed.

He has been mocking this for the Texans forever. I have grown very tired of this guys mocks. He is a lazy mocker, and knows very little about the Texans in general.

I don't mind the positions he is showing the Texans taking, I just don't think they will be going with the names he is going with.

And BTW most draftniks have the Texans going that way in the top two rounds. I hope they are all wrong

Ya, I'm just the messenger.

If past drafts hold true, the Texans will surely have some surprises (not necessarily good ones) in store...
