Default Official Texans @ Colts Game Thread, 12/14/2014

The 7-6 Texans travel to Indianapolis on Sunday to take on the 9-4 Colts. The Texans are coming off a 27-13 road win over the Jags. The Colts are coming off a 25-24 road win over the Browns. The Texans hope to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot but they'll have to get their first win in Indy to do it... The Texans are 8-5 ATS, the Colts are 9-4 ATS. Arky's non-homer spread pick = take the Texans and the points.

TV = CBS (channel 11 local), Sunday, 12 noon CST

Announcers = Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon

The line = Colts by 6.5 to 7.5

----------------------------------------------------

Other Sunday viewing in the Houston area:

FOX (early) = Cincinnati @ Cleveland -- Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch

FOX (late) = San Francisco @ Seattle -- Joe Buck, Troy Aikman

----------------------------------------------------

Prime time:

TNF = Arizona @ St. Louis (NLFN)

SNF = Dallas @ Philadelphia (NBC)

MNF = New Orleans @ Chicago (ESPN)

Will be interested to see how RAC plays Hilton this go around. He torched us in the 1st half, and manageable in the 2nd. Having KJ back sure helps.

Even with Battle Red Glasses on, I'm hoping for a good game, but struggling to see how we can score enough to keep up with them. I'd guess if we can keep them under 24 we've got a shot, but that's no easy task.

I'm thinking the only way the Texans win is if O'Brien sacrifices a couple of virgins but since Tebow won't be there, that's probably not happening.

The Colts can either get a big lead and win going away or let the Texans build a big lead then watch NeAndrewthal pull it out in the final minute. So, either way, we're doomed.

I don't see the Colts getting off to the fast start like they did in Houston. I see it as surprisingly a defensive battle for most of 3 quarters. There will be plenty of camera action on Watt. There will be plenty of camera action on Luck, too.... Luck may have a series of 3-and-outs or a fumble/INT and then the camera will show him on the sidelines with that WTF look on his Geico caveman face. However, the Colts know how to score points when it counts so I see it as Colts by a FG.... Some are saying the Jags game was their (the Texans) best game of the year. They will need to have a better game than that to win against the Colts.

Johnny Fs inaugual start is gonna take a big hit on whatever ratings the Texans have, even in Houston. Of course all Texans fans will also be pulling for him vs Cinci.

The Manziel effect. Almost half of all Fox stations have been switched to Bengals-Browns. New map here: http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2014&wk=15
