Default Kubiak's Monday Press Conference

While he said that Schaub is still the starting quarterback, he said he was still evaluating everything. Maybe he is leaving an opening to sit Schaub this weekend. Won't hold my breath on that though.

Eli Manning has been having his share of problems lately. His team is 0-5. Eli's actually thrown 3 more INT's than Schaub but methinks they weren't of the pick 6 variety.

Eli - 8 TD, 12 INT's
Schaub - 8 TD, 9 INT's

Both are 32 years old.

Where some differences are is that Eli has 21 pass plays of 20+ yards. Matt just has 14.

Eli has 5 pass plays of 40+ yards. Matt has 0 pass plays of 40+ yards.

Somehow I get the feeling Eli will eventually shake it off/snap out of it. Schaub, I have my doubts.....

Did I see AJ chewing on Schaub's ass in the 49'er game?

If you haven't seen it yet, check out what Steven A and Skip Bayless have to say about Schaub and the Texans.....

Eli has definitely been stinking it up this year. The difference is Eli, on his best day, can play as well as anyone in the league (and he also has those 2 Super Bowl rings). Schaub's best day is basically a game manager who doesn't do anything to screw over his own team.

To me, Schaub's incredibly low ceiling is a bigger concern (and reason to find his replacement) than his current bad play. Now, don't get me wrong, his recent play has been atrocious and he deserves some time on the pine, but even if he somehow rights the ship and starts playing better, where does that get us? Even his best is simply not good enough.
