Have to admit, I'm kind of ticked Lord Tebow is getting all the love today when it was really the kicker and the Denver D that won the game for them, whereas, Yates was clearly the key to the Texans winning. I mean, come on!! That last drive was epic for a rookie only playing his second full game - and on the road no less. Oh well, I guess it could be a good thing Yates and the Texans keep flying under the radar.
BTW, does anyone else think Leinart would've pulled that game out? Uh..no! |

The Yates comeback is a great story but he hasn't been doing it six straight weeks. And the Texans' D was pretty vital to Houston's win too.
Let's let TJ be our little secret for as long as possible. Even when Schaub was the QB, most of us thought we'd stumble against either the Falcons or Bengals. It just didn't seem possible we could run the table after the way we looked in the first half of the season. Now the next step is to not lose focus and let our guard down against the Panthers. Cam Newton is dangerous and the Panthers compete hard every week despite their record. We're still not good enough to half-ass our way to victory, even against the Colts. |

I'll put this thought here since it seems as good a place as any. I remember the not too distant past when I used to watch these Sunday night games, Monday night games after another week of Texans futility and I would often marvel at how much better the teams on TV were than the Texans I had seen just prior. Sometimes the difference was so dramatic it was like I was watching a totally different sport being played.
Granted neither of these two teams is worth a damn but I can't tell you how satisfying it is to watch these two crap teams and realize that the Texans are quite possibly better than either of these teams at every single position on the field. I seriously think the Colts could beat the Rams. |

Interesting.....
@RichGannon12: Marvin Lewis...Had we not taken Andy Dalton in the 2nd round, the next guy we had our eye on was TJ Yates. We really liked him coming out!

I kinda liked TJ's 17-yard scramble on the winning drive. That's something we haven't seen in a awhile, a QB scrambling for a nice gain....

No one's going to confuse TJ with Usain Bolt but he needed 15 and got 17. No other quarterback who's played for the team over the last four years could have done that I don't think. It inspires me to imagine what might have been had TJ played that last down against Oakland.
