Default Moss traded

For a 3rd round pick. Huge news by itself, but something very interesting in the article.

I a day and age where teams hoard their draft picks and refuse to trade them for players, the Patriots have now managed to amass two 1st, two 2nd, two 3rd, and two 4th round picks next year.

Amazing that they can be competitive every year and still manage to rebuild more than the rebuilding teams.

Yes, I wonder if that will continue. They seem to let a lot of veterans go rather than pay them a new contract they have earned.

Also, their draft track record from 2006/7/8 isn't so good. appaltently those years they drafted like 25 players and only 5 have made it onto this years roster, so the depth they maybe should have thru draft of 2-5 year guys ready isn't really there, thus they have been taking a lot of older guys from other teams to fill in it seems.

now their success is better than anyone in this last decade, like 7 playaoff years, 3 super bowl wins, not bad.

And Minnesota, getting Moss, makes them have a lot of offensive weapons, as long as Farve or someone gets the passes out.

Wonder what they will rework Moss's deal to since apparently NE didn't want to do that deal extension.
