The Seahawks had a whole lot of problems with their offensive line in 2009 thanks to injuries. New offensive line coach Alex Gibbs was supposed to help fix those problems this year. Instead, he just caused a much bigger one. Just eight days before the season opener, Gibbs told the Seahawks that he is retiring immediately.

Sounds like they are saying he looked tired. I hope his health is good. He certainly had a great reputation for his work in Denver. I certainly wish him well in his future, perhaps retirement, since he's 69 now.

Gibbs abrupt retirement didn't seem to hurt Seattle very much after the way they beat S.F. last week.

Really surprised by that. SF was/is supposed to be a fairly strong team this year.
