Are you planning on renewing them? When I lined up for season tickets in 2002 I was ready for several years of pain mitigated by the fact that we finally had the NFL back in town. But this team is just so putrid and so clueless from top to bottom that it's really just no fun to watch them and painful to support their incredible ineptitude financially.
Kubiak is clearly out of his league and the entire staff is, in my view, a colossal failure. I think that I've decided that I will not renew my tickets unless Kubiak is fired, and even that may not be enough. (This line of thinking would have been inconceivable even only a year ago.) I also think that I'm going to send the Texans ticket office a bill for the total amount of my bill considering that I am not in any way receiving an NFL-quality product, nor have I for the vast majority of the past seven years. |

I have season tickets but I will be renewing them. I can't help it I'm a glutton for punishment. I'd like to think that I'm holding out for them to turn it around but I don't have faith that it will anytime soon. I'll be there at least next season. After that I don't know.

Chuck,
When you do send the Texans the bill, site some form of Lemon Law and how it is applicable to your situation. A nice follow up is to mention the State Attorney General's office being sent a formal complaint. ![]() |

I will renew. It is sort of like a car wreck, you know you should turn away, but you cannot.
Growing up in the eastern US I was (and still am) a fan of the New York Islanders. As an expansion team they were putrid for years, then in year 10 they win the Stanley Cup. It was such an awesome feeling not to have given in and given up. I want to feel that with the Texans. I love going to the games, it is like 10 mini-Holidays for me.

Did you purchase them to watch your main man Sage Rosenfels? Do you still think that being aware of his turnover problem will change who he is as a QB?

I'm not sure where you came up with that drivel, because I'm most certainly not in Rosenfails corner. In fact, I think Matt is the real deal, but seems to have durability issues. Doesn't diminish the fact that he is a good QB, just may not be able to take the pounding that an NFL QB has to adsorb. To directly answer you, I am getting them because I'm planing on retiring next September and will be able to get to the games rather than wasting a ticket as I would currently for most of the games.

I gave up my tickets at the end of last season. Not because of the team or product but because of the time commitment. If had the time to attend the games I still would this year and would purchase my tickets next year to.
I am one of the guys that gets to my seats before the team is introduced, and stays until the last whistle is blown and I leave every game barely able to talk from yelling on every def play. There are NFL teams out there that have had far worse runs of bad teams than we have, and they pack the stadium every game. Their fans are borderline crazies. It could be worse, but at the end of the day the money is yours and it is not my place or anyone elses to tell you what to do with it. |
