Default We officially suck!!!

I have been the picture of perfect optimism. But today I will no longer point out the MINOR adjustments needed for us to become a GOOD TEAM. There was a chance that maybe we could be considered a playoff team at the start of this year. As the year progressed we were just looking to become better than last year. Now we are at the point of looking towards the draft. Here is why we OFFICIALLY SUCK:

1. We have NO offensive captain.
No one on our team can be the spokesperson to rally the troops when we are down on offense. Usually the job of the QB or maybe even someone on the coaching staff.

2. Our head coach is completely confused.
Sage had thrown 4 picks and he was standing next to Kubiak having a regular conversation as if it were the 1st qtr and they were winning. If I had thrown 4 picks in a single game I would try to be as far away from the coach as possible.

3. Our defense has talent but no direction.
It is the job of the DC and the HC to put the defense in a position to make a play. I find it hard to believe that Bennett was just lining up 10 yards off D. Mason (who is not a deep threat) by his own will.

4. Our coaching staff has no eye for talent.
Eugene wilson should have been starting from the get go. He has a proven track record on a winning team. More than anyone else on the entire team. It took for Brown to get injured for them to see he has a nose for the ball. In my opinion he is the 3rd best player on our defense. (MW, DRyans, EWilson)

5. Finally, our QB's suck.
I dont care how much slack I will probably get from this statement. But all of you disapprovers can kiss my a@#. It all boils down to wins and not turning the ball over. i dont care if our QB only had a 45% completion percentage and no picks and we were winning i would be ok with that. I dont give a sh@# that you can throw for 250+ yds a game. Stop throwing F@#$in interceptions.

6. Kubiak needs to show some sign that he cares.
I have not seen him yell at anyone else but the referees. Sage has just thrown 4 interceptions and you guys are standing over chatting like yall are discussing stock prices. Get mad, throw some sh#t around, show that you are pissed off. But no he's not pissed off at the player because he knows its his f!@$#in fault.

Amen. I have season tickets, but didn't go to the game today because of some work issues. I am seriously strating to evaluate whether this team is worth my monetary investment. If not for the tailgating with my buddies, there would be no question.

Don't overreact. Kubiak is a good offensive coach, but we need to can Richard Smith. Additionally, I will eat some crow, I called for Rosenfels, my huge mistake.

The QBs need to execute, and Brown isn't playing like a first rounder.

well, we get disappointed week after week. Turnovers and penalties. why is that? a lot of those turnovers and penalties are on offense, not defense. and seem to happen whoever the QB is. no leaders is what happens if you let your leaders go.

This could be a very good team if they'd get few more defensive players (or better play from their existing ones) and a DC who has a clue on what he's doing. Offensively we're pretty darn good except for the two QBs that don't seem to understand the importance of protecting the ball. Matt's INTs come mostly when he tries to force the ball into coverage. I don't have a huge problem with Matt other than how fragile and wimpy he is. I don't think I've ever seen a QB that gets hurt or shows pain during a course of game/season as much as he does. And Sage, well, he's just a plain idiot. He looks the part, but there's no doubt he's a backup. I have no idea what he's thinking. He'll throw the ball right to the defender without a WR in sight.

Setting the coaching and DC issue aside, the keys to improving are:
1. We have got to get major improvement from the DT position. We're getting no push up the middle and we aren't all that good at stuffing the run. I'd be playing Oakam for the rest of the year. I'll give Amobi one more year before I consider him a bust.

2. We need a stud (and I mean STUD!) LB. This is by far the weakest area of the team, IMO.

3. Get better play at the S positions. I like what Wilson brings, but let's face it, he's not the long term answer. We can almost start from scratch and be just as good, IMO. I hope I never see CC Brown back there again. Want to experiment? I'd play Molden at CB and try Bennett at FS the rest of the year. Can't hurt.

4. Again, time to throw Molden into the fire and see what we have.

5. Same with JJ. I think JJ should getting more snaps than Anderson. I don't have a problem with Anderson per say, but come on, he doesn't scare anyone. A dozen guys could do what he does. The few plays that have gone to JJ in recent weeks has shown he has the ability to create in the open field. Let's give him a real shot in game time conditions.

6. We definitely need another young RB to help out Slaton.

7. Draft a quality young QB - not these 7th-round scrubs. It's time to start grooming a decent prospect.

8. OL, OL, OL and more OL.

If it were me drafting, I'd go:
1. LB
2. DE
3. OL (preferrably a stud C or G)
4. QB
5. BPA
6. BPA
7. BPA

I think we already have the FS on roster between Bennett and DRob (if he doesn't regain his speed). Someone needs to light a fire under the ass of each DT so I'm not drafting one.
