Official Texans vs. Browns Game Thread, 10/15/2017
The 2-3 Texans take on the 0-5 Cleveland Browns this Sunday in an early game. The Texans are coming off a 42-34 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on SNF. The Browns are coming off a 17-14 home loss to the New York Jets. 2nd year player Kevin Hogan is expected to start at QB for the Browns. The Browns offense rates middle of the pack in yds/game but they are 31st in scoring points (15.4/game). The Browns defense is 5th in yards allowed/game (304.8) but somehow surrender 24.8 pts/game (25th). The Texans defense currently gives up 26 pts/game (28th).

Texan's ball at their 25. -------------------------------------------------------- Pass to Anderson goes for 8. L Miller for 1. 3rd and 1 coming up. Watson keeps and runs around right end for 8 and the 1st down. Pass to Griffin goes for 18. Ball at the Browns 40. L Miller for 9. L Miller goes right side for about 5 and the 1st down. Pass to Ellington in the flat too tall, inc. Brings up 2nd and 10. L Miller gets about 4 or 5. 3rd and 6 coming up. Pass to Fuller on the sidelines is broken up, inc. Texans to go for the FG. Fairbairn's 40-yarder is good. Texans 3, Browns 0 10:57 left in the 1st qtr.

Pass to Njoku goes for 3. Pass to Williams goes for 17 but flag is down.....illegal block in the back on the Browns, -10. Places the ball at the Brown 47. 2nd and 3 coming up. Screen pass gets blown up by Cole. Loss of 4. 3rd and 7 coming up. Pass to the sideline broken up by JJo, inc. Browns have to punt. Punt is downed at the 3 yard line. Texan's ball. 6 minutes left in the 1st qtr.

L Miller for 1. Flags presnap. False start Giacomini, ½ the distance. On 2nd and 11, Watson pressured, throws it away, inc. Brings up 3rd and 11. Oy, pass too high for Griffin, inc. Texans to punt. Punt is brought back to the Texan 27 yard line. Browns' ball. 4:49 left in the 1st qtr.
