Default Official Texans vs. Colts Game Thread, 12/16/2012

I'm ready to turn the page on last weeks debacle, I sure hope the squad is as well.

Looking forward to a division clinching victory this Sunday.

Seen crazy #'s on the spread, anywhere from 7-9.5. With the way the D is playing, no way in hell I touch that.

Leggo!

Before Monday nights complete & utter fiasco in Foxboro, I would have taken the Texans while laying down 10 points on this game with very few concerns.
Now, I don't really have a confidant feel for what's going to happen, one way or the other ? Logically we'd expect a team coming off of a devastating loss like the one the Texans sustained Monday to produce a maximum effort this coming Sunday, and I do believe they will but I'm not without doubts ?

TV = CBS (channel 11 local), noon Sunday CST

Announcers = Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts

The line = Texans by 8 to 9.5

Noon games the rest of the way. Texans are going to have to battlefight the Colts (here), Vikings (here) and then the Colts again (there). Starting off with a thrashing of the Colts would do wonders for the fan base blood pressure levels..... Obviously, the Texans could use the #1 or #2 seed for the needed and get-healthy bye week....

Well, Luck has 18 interceptions and 10 fumbles , and -38 points scored, but a 9-4 record. His 537 passes is second most in the league. Lots of downfield passes.

So, hope our DL gets pressure and we get some more of those turnovers by our secondary.

And our offense, hope they settle down, OL keeps pressure off Schaub.

We responded pretty well to the GB loss.

Also, I've heard a lot of talk about how we might not need the Colts game in week 17, but there is a greater probability now that the Colts won't need that game. If we win this week the Colts are all but locked into the #5 seed. I doubt they'd play Luck or anyone else if the game is meaningless.

That means winning this one is huge (duh). It not only checks off one of the 3 remaining wins we need for homefield, it all but puts another of those wins in the bag.

Sounds like Graham and Newton will be back this week. Ball is still a question mark.

I was all over his ass in TC and preseason, but I think it might be time to increase the snap count at WR for Posey and see what he can do. Walter isn't doing squat this year, I think KMart drops darn near everyting thrown to him, and Jean is OK but it's not like he's been lights-out. Let's give Posey a few plays. I doubt he can be any worse than the other guys. Who knows, maybe he'll provide the spark this offense needs. He has fresh legs, that's for sure. Send him on a few fly patterns or try to create some space for him with some quick slants and see what he can do.

Wonder who our RG will be this week. It would be nice to see run game clicking again.

Woohoo! Love having Darryl Sharpton back. Should help our D pretty nicely.

Late money coming in on the Texans pushes the line to 11.5 in some books. A very good sign.

Can the Texans wrap up the AFC South today?

That was disappointing after Andre made that great catch on a very, very underthrown ball by Schaub.

Still early. OL not. Creating holes for Foster but passing game working. Maybe that will lead to loosening up run defense.

Three defensive penalties on Texans this drive really helping Colts.

Gotta clean that up. Sack by Watt helps.
