Well, unfortunately Texans aren't in this
schedule is as follows Jan. 8-9 -- Wild Card Weekend. Jan. 15-16 -- Divisional Playoffs. Jan. 23 -- Conference Championships. Jan. 30 -- Pro Bowl, Honolulu, Hawaii Feb. 6 -- Super Bowl XLV, North Texas here is a site with playoff brackets http://www.chiff.com/recreation/sports/NFL-brackets.htm today we have New Orleans at Seattle I will choose underdogs, Seattle and NY Jets and Indianapolis and choose another underdog Colts but likely miss on both of those then tomorrow have Baltimore at Kansas City ok, similarly choose underdogs, KC and GreenBay at Philadelphia and not sure, but take Philadelphia basically taking home teams in each game, but anyone could win and no, I don't want to bet anyone on this being correct |

What do I know? It appears only 25% of what I think I know. And that is why I do not gamble.

Looks like picking the home team resulted in 25% as well, same as trying to think about it.
So, this next weekend, I'll try the same rule, see what happens to home team in the division round. So, my pick is second Saturday, Jan. 15 Green Bay at Atlanta Baltimore at Pittsburgh Sunday, Jan. 16 NY Jets at New England Seattle at Chicago |

We're out in Vegas this weekend and I'm planning on jumping all over the Jets and those 9 points that come with them.

I say it every year and I'll say it again now: this is my favorite weekend of NFL football. For me it's the most exciting and offers the best games.
I don't know why, but everything beyond this weekend always feels sort of anti-climactic, even if the games are good. |

Man, this is a scintillating website full of passionate fans. A completely casual fan such as I can hardly get a word in around here.

I actually thought that Seattle had a very real chance of winning today. Shows what I know. Of course, I thought Atlanta was unbeatable through the NFC. So much for my plan to make a living betting on sports.

I was impressed how Baltimore protected their 21-7 half time lead yesterday.
Chicago looks pretty good as long as Cutler is on. All the survivors seem to have a very good defense and not bad at offense either, as expected I suppose. |

The idea that if the Texans "fix the defense" they will be a contender is ludicrous. The four final AFC teams are light years ahead of the Texans in virtually every way. Any one of those teams would embarrass the Texans in a playoff game.

Yep, our Oline is good till it faces one of the top defenses which is what wins in the playoffs.

well, home team only won two of the four games this weekend. or 3 of 8 games in playoffs up to now.
For Conference Championship weekend, next Sunday, Jan. 23 , we have two games: NFC : Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears and AFC : NYC Jets at Pittsburg Steelers I'll stick with just for fun choosing home team, but all should be good games as they were this weekend. Then, Superbowl will be two weeks latter on Feb. 6 |

Ok, should be a good Super Bowl game with Green Bay and Pittsburgh.
I'll predict Packers win 24-21, not sure why, maybe cause they haven't won for 15 years or so. |

My head says the Steelers, but my heart says Packers. I want Green Bay to forget about Farve and for Rogers to become the new hero in Green Bay.
Don't want to see Big Ben move up the ladder of Super Bowl QBs to 3 wins, not after this last off season. Plus I want to see Dom Capers win.

Congratulations to GreenBay for winning 45th Super bowl and Lombardi Trophy. Pretty exciting game with the sentimental favorite winning, atleast for some of us. Three turnovers forced by Packer defense is hard to overcome for Steelers.
