Default Playoff Droughts

The Texans have missed the playoffs again, that is 9 years without a playoff game. That really sucks, but is it the worse in the league?

No, the teams with the current longest drought are the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions. The Bills have gone through 6 head coaches in that time ,and the Lions have had 7 head coaches.

Now it's true that winning teams seem to have less changes to the head coach, than teams that loss.

But is our owner to patient for his own good? When you hire the correct man to run your organization you do not need to wait (see the Jets) and you do not give people 6 years to figure out they are middle of the road head coaches.

I am sorry to say, I think Bob McNair has made the wrong move this off season, he should have gone out and found the correct people to run his organization .

OK back to the droughts, 25 teams have been to the playoffs since Kubiak was hired, as Lance Z said in his blog, it's hard to miss the playoff 9 years in a row.

It's time for this team to get the playoffs, but I am not counting on it.
