Default Cushing: Off-Season Training

Per Jay Glazer's Tweet:

Quote:
Another intense MMA workout 4 Cushing, Rivers &Williams. Rivers went waaaay further 2day than he ever thought he could push. Huge day 4 him
Looks like Cush is doing the MMA workout regime - and I'm sure more. Quite admirable and I wish there were more guys on this team that had his work ethic (namley another 1rst Rd. DT we drafted a few years ago), but I hope he doesn't wear himself out.

I had heard this as well. I think Lance Z mentioned it on his show one day last week. Apparently the goal is to increase flexability and it is supposedly having a great effect on Cush. Rumor is that he is much more fluid and flexable.

Fluid and mobile sure, but what really matters is that when you are working in a violent venue, you become more violent. Look out league, Cush is not going to be a real nice guy next year.

Cushing will never be any good. Haven't you guys heard? He eats pre-programmed meals.

Cushing was really fun to watch, he had so many dominating big plays. If he improves, it will be terrible for the other side for sure.

Nobody's mentioned how much better he's going to be at shedding blocks. I'm sure there's judo in his workouts, and that's all judo is, using your opponents body weight against them. My buddy was telling me that this program is designed to break you down at first, but that Cush is eating it up. He is a very bad man

The way I heard it Cush was trying to get Demeco into that program. If so that will be great.
