Default 49ers-Texans Not Shown In Austin

Austin is not presently scheduled to carry the 49ers-Texans game on Sunday. Austin viewers are slated to get the Vikings-Steelers. Waco and San Antonio markets are getting the Texans. If you'd rather see the Texans, contact KTBC Fox 7 and tell them to switch the game. If enough people call, they may be willing to substitute our game.

FOX 7 to Air 49ers vs. Texans Game
Updated: Friday, 23 Oct 2009, 4:43 PM CDT
Published : Friday, 23 Oct 2009, 2:05 PM CDT

KTBC FOX 7 has switched the designated NFL early game on Sunday, Oct. 25 from the Steelers vs. Vikings game to the 49ers vs. Texans game.

FOX 7 has decided to show the Texans game locally. The NFL doubleheader on FOX this week will now be 49ers vs. Texans kickoff at 12 p.m. and then Falcons vs. Cowboys at 3 p.m. Since FOX 7 switched the games we will not be part of the mandatory kickoff for the Cowboys 3:15pm game.

It will be big game for the Texans (3-3), who are looking to continue their offensive explosion and get above .500. While the up-and-coming 49ers (3-2) are hoping that the addition of rookie wide receiver Michael Crabtree sparks their offense to victory.

Cool. Because the Fox affiliate is the Cowboys' station, they've usually been quite dismissive of the Texans. I guess enough people called and complained to change their minds.
